meet chase! theyre a vendor you can find in major towns starting in demo 2. they sell items related to turn order and speed- essentially changing when you and enemies go in battle! they also sell a gravity coil that makes you immune to melee attacks for a few turns. why? because uhhh yeah

they have different dialogue for the player depending on how long they take to get between areas- speedrunnners are praised, but pay full price since they 'clearly don't need my help!'. people who take their time get mocked, but also get discounted prices because chase feels bad that you're so goddamn slow!
