Here's what happened when my Blood Hunter, Red, tried to dramatically reveal her real name to the party. Antics ensued...
Sketch dump of the new D&D character I’ll be running soon! Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood, my Red decided to hunt werewolves and baddies to avenge her family (and get rich and powerful). She’ll eventually be ceremonially inducted into the Order of the Lycan as a Blood Hunter werewolf...IF she lives to level 3!
The top sketch shows my first ever sketch of her with the sheet of poses exploring her attitude and a pose I want to work up for her level 1 hero portrait.
First sketch of a new Dungeons & Dragons character for another mini-campaign! What if Little Red Riding Hood got sick of the wolf and decided to go Huntsman herself? Introducing Red, Blood Hunter of the Order of the Lycan and sassy hotblooded redhead. Of course, wielding a Great Axe is traditional!
Learning how to 'play' again with art! I went into this brainstorming sheet not expecting perfection, but just having fun getting to know my new D&D character. Nils is a priest of Kelemvor, the god of Death and neutral Judge of Souls, turned Blood Hunter of the Ghostslayer Order.
He would seem more at home at the monastery with his quiet demeanor and love of tea and philosophical chats, if not for the terrible skills he unleashes on the Hunt.
Might have to explore him in proper concept sheets at some point! He has a lot of interesting little details to play with.
TRANSCRIPT: - Lizard - "Saved" from a gambling race. Name: Dark Streak.
- Favorite Tea Cup - A modest handmade cup gifted by his mentor. Favorite Flavor: Green Tea.
- Breastplate - Prefers freedom of movement. Needs access to exposed skin for blood magic.
- Dual Scimitars - Crafted for him by the Order of the Ghostslayers. Bone inspired pommel. Includes a blood groove to help with Blood Maledict.
- Symbol of Kelemvor - For prayer. Sharp edge used for ritual bloodletting.

With all of the craziness of this year, playing Dungeons & Dragons with my friends every other weekend has been an important escape for my husband and I!
My husband is the Dungeon Master of our merry little band, while I play this gal, a Tiefling Warlock of the Fiend. Anko grew up in a Tiefling ghetto where many of her race consider it taboo to practice magic, as their mage ancestors once dabbled with fiends, resulting in their Tiefling 'abomination'.
That was never enough for Anko, who was always curious about how magic could improve the lives of her and her loved ones. She also enjoys baking and helps her family with their small bakery to keep their poor neighborhood fed. Her adventures with the party have helped her escape her fear of racism and gain confidence as a fledgling mage (now a level 20 through their epic world-saving adventures!).

Having fun playing with personal art during Thanksgiving break! Drawing my D&D character, Anko, a Tiefling Warlock with a sentient book familiar. When not Eldritch Blasting enemies, she loves to bake!
I needed some art therapy last night and my Dungeons & Dragons character, Anko, was happy to oblige!
Inspired by an Intimidation roll I made for her in our game to psych out an evil queen who was experimenting on people. Nothing gets Anko motivated faster than protecting the innocent. She let loose some full magical rage for this one!
She started off as a meek baker's daughter from a Tiefling ghetto and has since blossomed into a full-fledged Warlock that Eldritch Blasts evil queens in the face. I'm quite pleased with her development!
I'm still pondering on her design, but here are a few character notes:
- She hides her horns in wraps of hair. Unwrapped, these horns are somewhat small and her hair is actually quite long!
- She looks human with a normal skin tone, except for her claws, fangs, tail, red eyes, and a purple ombre to her black hair. She usually hides these features with her goggles, layers of skirts for her tail, filing down her nails, and hiding her smile when possible so as not to draw attention.
- Her book is based on Grimoire Weiss from Nier (and talks smack just as much). He usually hides in her book holster and communicates with her telepathically so as to avoid suspicion. He's already been booknapped once for talking too much and flying around in front of people!
- She has a magic sling that materializes at will, but is not shown here. She also carries a sickle sword she can barely lift (-1 to strenght lol). (Who really needs to attack with weapons when you have Eldritch Blast?)
- Lots of spell components on her belt!
- Her Patron is the Fiend, or so she thinks! She's still unraveling the mystery of who and what her Patron actually is and what her powers truly are. Her theory right now is she accidentally sold her soul to a Fiend when signing a contract to enter a school of magic.
Maybe one day I'll actually finish a pic of her to color! She's much fun to play and draw.
