My September Watch-List

(It's the first time I'm doing this in quite a while! read: two years Some of the blogs I follow have been doing it and I was inspired to do list my monthly viewings again... Let's see how far I can go this time! Also, this list doesn't include my viewings of live-recordings of musicals/ballets/operas/etc)

Favorite first-time viewings are in bold:

(Brunello Rondi, 1968) Lisztomania (Ken Russell, 1975) (Rewatch) Blow Out (Brian DePalma, 1981) (Rewatch) Étoile (Peter del Monte, 1989) The Devil's Backbone (Guillermo del Toro, 2001) Pan's Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro, 2006) (Rewatch) Rosemary's Baby (Agnieszka Holland, 2014) Beauty and the Beast (Christophe Gans, 2014) The Way He Looks (Daniel Ribeiro, 2014) This was considerably a less productive month then August... and I'm sad that perhaps October will be even less productive considering how busy I'll be (sooo wanted to do an October Horror Challenge again but alas it will be impossible). That said, what I saw was mostly really interesting stuff (I am so mad at myself for not seeing "The Devil's Backbone" and "Étoile" before, and meanwhile my love for Ken Russell grows more and more each day), with the exception of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Way He Looks" (though the latter was decent... just that I don't see why the hell is it being so hyped). All rewatches were films that I already liked, and these new viewings only made me appreciate them more.
