i’m watching murderbot for the first time with my girlfriend, & the moment where mensah (seemingly) misgenders + then corrects her youngest kid’s they/them pronouns is SO interesting to me. for one, it’s realistic to how many loving cis parents don’t quite understand transness but still try, but also it immediately told me much more about this world’s gender system, even more than just pin-lee’s they/them pronouns. bc if transition & misgendering exist as concepts, that means the trans human characters are nonbinary like my friends & i are nonbinary, not that there’s a sci-fi reason for them to be nonbinary, & that’s 1. so wonderful to see in a mainstream story 2. such a necessary choice alongside a protagonist who IS nonbinary for sci-fi reasons. & many many shows + books would not have made that choice.

While I was a little bit in my thoughts and taking a mini break from everything, I decided to try myself in something new.

For myself, I will be doing a large and test project for the first time.

This will be the AU where the Drifter begins his journey into the past a little earlier, before Hex used the serums and the potential team are not quite all assembled.

There will be discrepancies with the canons of the game and some other features more related to my Drifter. It's also a Drifthur, but it's very slow.
