Armand didn’t leave Daniel with Marius in the books though, that’s just a wild misinterpretation or a fanon thing mostly spread by fans who haven’t actually read the books. As Armand explains in his own book, Daniel left Armand/Night Island some time after the Alaska thing happened, and started to wander off by himself until he started going mad and was in active danger because he couldn’t take care of himself anymore. Marius explains in Blood and Gold that he found him in this state and took him in, Armand is never brought into it and it’s never actually mentioned that he had anything with Daniel staying with Marius while he was insane.

Actually it seemed like it was going to mostly adapt mgs1, with some elements of the other games in some of the concept art. What looks like a dream sequence with big boss in the flower field where the boss died, and some others i cant remember rn.

I honestly dont know if it will come out, but i feel like jordan vogt roberts is a good choice for director, he seems to be a big mgs fan and very passionate about the series, so I hope so.

I really like oscar isaac, he was fucking incredible in dune, so I think talent wise hes a good choice, but I am curious about how they'll handle big boss and the other two les enfants tbh. Im glad that a bisexual poc actor is playing david at least

I have a bit of a controversial opinion, but I do wish they had picked a japanese american actor for the role of david (and also the other snakes too) it's kind of a deep cut, but i always liked the lore about big boss and the clones being japanese americans in the msx game guides (bb partly grew up in a japanese concentration camp before meeting the boss) Theres enough ppl that either dont know or gloss over it, that i think it would have been really cool to do that for a movie adaptation, as I feel like its important to their story and relationship with america and its politics

My fear is that Konami will use the adaptation to "compete" with Kojima in some way, now that DS is also getting a live action. So I hope Konami itself doesn't get in the way of all this, because MGS is very important.

So what was the really wild otasune fic you tried reading, that was wilder than samhiggs fic? I'm in both fandoms and kinda want to know what it was/ about now

It's not that it's exactly wild or wilder than SamHiggs. But there's that thing where you imagine a dynamic and when you read some fanfics it turns out to be different from what you imagined. The SamHiggs fics I read at first seemed "scary" to me because it was new to me and I hadn't looked anything up about them, fanfics of this kind of media (games) was something I'd never read, because I wasn't on the Internet looking for it, but after reading several headcanons and more fanfics I came to the conclusion that all SamHiggs are ideal for me, but it's different and more intense with Otasune.🥺

You see, I haven't played any of the MGS games, I've only watched the videos and I confess that I only started looking at David more because of Hal🫣 and then in MGS4 I was so hurt by the ending, I mean... What did Kojima expect of me? I could laugh and cry and it still wouldn't make sense, I needed Otasune forever imprinted on me and so I immersed myself in fanart and fanfic, but then the fanfics? Omg! Let's take it easy and be honest, I'm no saint and I've written a lot of dirty stuff in fanfics, but the emotional weight I put on David and Hal makes any fanfic the saddest thing there is for me. It destroys me. It makes me stop and stare at a fixed point for a few moments and SamHiggs doesn't do that (at least not yet, until we get DS2🥲)...

I remember that I was very depressed about Sam and Higgs before I ventured into MGS because I feared their fate together. And well... It's not as if MGS helped me. Look at David and Hal, look at Adam and John... And then I look at Sam and Higgs... I think wild is more about the emotional part that got me in the first place and then, of course, sex... I think... we need to talk about that? The sex is pretty wild haha🤌 and I didn't expect this kind of view from people, but not that it's bad and not that Sam Higgs are saints... Hmm, I just didn't expect that kind of... power🫢

It's hard to explain because I end up turning simple things into "problems". I guess that's it.😮‍💨

Not to mention the fact that I keep reading some things and thinking to myself "Dave🤨, go easy on Hal, he's too thin🤕, he could break😵, help!" but it's fun and I keep reading completely out of breath... I think I'm losing my touch, that's all...

And when I say look how Bosselot and Otasune end up in MGS I mean that when you love a character very much you want them to last forever and that doesn't happen in MGS because Ocelot and John are dead and David's fate is certain, only Hal will remain alive to the point where we imagine that for Hal there was an afterwards while for these three death is the end of their stories. But deep down in my heart I hope that they all experienced the purest love in their lives before they died.
