The opening scene of Final Fantasy VIII. The game that started my journey down Square Enix's Final Fantasy series. Because of that, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
I still remember how blown away I was when I first saw the opening sequence of ff8. The music, the graphics (hey, it was groundbreaking back then!), the characters, the mystery of it all. I mean, with LIBERI FATALI as the bgm, how could you not be drawn in?! And then the story opens with you as a SEED trainee at Balamb Garden. It just hits all the right spots that kept me intrigued at that time, and I was hooked immediately. I don't even want to mention the embarrassing number of hours I've put into this game, grinding levels and whatnot, not to mention replaying the game 😂.
