favorite thing about them —i just straight up like characters like hinata. i love characters who struggle to speak up, who can't seem to be able to reach out, who seem almost as though they're trapped in themselves! shout out to the children in middle school who, upon entering the cafeteria, started nearly having a panic attack bc no table was empty and they couldn't tell which group of children would be most ethical to force their presence on. i'm really genuinely glad she has kiba and shino.

least favorite thing about them —...that she was written by kishimoto :/ very little of her growth as an individual feels earned or believable to me and its only because kishimoto only gives us a GLIMPSE at what's going on with her, and then it moves on. it doesn't really care. what was training with kurenai-sensei like? how did she operate with kiba and shino as a team? what kind of challenges did she have to overcome? were there times she actually allowed herself to get pissed at her friends? at her best, for me, hinata is a very likeable idea of a character. at her worst, she is a pile of traits that her creator didn't feel like sewing into somebody who feels like they live and breathe.

favorite line —no line really sticks out to me, unfortunately. She has a LOT of good observations of the other characters, but the way they're written...agh. kishimoto...

brOTP —shino and kiba of course!!!! theyre her little fambly.

OTP — i don't really care about or think about this sort of thing much!

nOTP — similarly! i don't really care abt this much.

random headcanon —she is so scared of spiders. but she tries. for shino, she tries. beetles are okay tho she thinks they can be cute sometimes.

unpopular opinion —i have no idea what popular and unpopular opinions are :(. i will say that like, i don't think she has to be a badass? i don't think she has to be able to take neji, or naruto, or anyone else in a fight. she clearly didn't love fighting, but needed to get better at it in order to survive the world she lives in! like, iruka stayed at the chūnin level for the entirety of the series, and naruto rapidly surpassed him in power and skill—but iruka stayed important?

it feels bad to say that because like, with the narrative arc naruto is on, and with the way kishimoto writes, i feel like the only avenue she's going to be given to prove that she's kind of. a "worthy rival/partner" to naruto is to be through competence in battle, so it feels like i'm dismissing that, within the structure of the narrative.

i'm not though, i just. she clearly doesn't LOVE being a shinobi, and frankly i love that about her! i wish she had an avenue to explore that better and find a purpose for her life which wasn't about war, but also wasn't about She's A Woman. honestly i think her being an academy teacher and even being directly mentored by iruka would have been ideal.

song i associate with them —Two Birds on a Wire! It's not a perfect fit for Hinata at all going by the lyrics alone, but the lightness and the drive of the song speak to me for her.

For the March prompts, #27: nature walk!

Blah blah blah, that's all Hinata heard (but even then, she could only just make out the impressive deepness and raspyness of his voice rather than what he was actually saying) as her eyes (respectfully, of course) ran over the nature guide in front of her. And to think that at the beginning of this vacation, she had wanted to stay at home and finish her work!

And by all accounts, that's what Hinata should be doing, finishing her work, if finishing that the large pile of paperwork sitting on her desk back at the hotel (back when she was boring and not here with the hottest gu(-ide)y on the planet) meant that she'd be even the tinyest bit closer to getting that promotion she had been working so hard for.

So, by all accounts, she should not be on this trail for the third time since she got to this hotel to hang out (even if for a little bit) with this blond, tattooed, hiking trail guide Adonis that she may have been crushing on the slightest bit if she wanted that promotion.

Hmm... I’m not sure about this one to be honest. Do rp partners count? Because I’ve picked up a few ships from rp I wouldn’t have considered. One is Kakuzu/Madara and it’s definitely becoming a favorite of mine. 

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom

Actively? Probably for Lost, from 2004 until around 2012, and then every so often I get hit with nostalgia for it out of nowhere and need to read some fic and look at gifs, and re-read theories and stuff like that. Last spring I re-watched it for the first time since it ended and fell in love all over again and wrote a couple of fics that I never posted.

11. What do you envy in other writers?

Answered already but I like my style and idiosyncrasies, but I am really admiring authors who have a simple eloquence about them when they write. 

16.Tried anything new with your writing lately? (style, POV, genre, fandom?)

Trying a Modern girl in thedas story is newish for me. I had one a long time ago but I honestly lost the must for it. I also made a male OC not too long ago, usually I make female OCs. Also I usually write about a couple falling in love, but continuing In Waking Dreams has allowed me to jump into a more established relationship.

okay, I’d go with slow burn for Aizawa, because he needs time to get around to acknowledging his feelings.

fake dating for Goku, because he’s such a good friend he would help a girl out if she needed a fake date

And enemies to lovers for Kakashi because he’s a similar case to Aizawa, but I also love him just being an asshole at first before the slow burning starts
