I made this list of tips for all of you who are studying calculus, I hope that it helps! ♥

Pay attention in class and ask questions

Try to understand what the teacher is explaining during the lessons. 

If there's something you do not understand, ask the teacher! 

The sooner you understand things, the better. 

Contents from the next units will probably be linked with previous units.

Take notes

Take notes in class, a lot of things that the teachers say are important even if they don't write them down.

Don't rely on your calculator

Learn how to do everything without a calculator.

Most times you won't be allowed to use one.

Make a summary

Make a summary with formulas and other important things.

Maybe make another summary of the most important theorems.

The summary should contain useful things! Keep it handy.

Practise with exercises

It's important to revise the exercises you've done in class...

But it's also important that you try to solve them yourself, you migh find trouble in places that seemed easy.

Identify the hardest parts, maybe there are some contents that you don't completely understand or that you need to revise.

Don't forget about the theory!

It's very important that you understand the theory so that you can apply it later in the exercises.

Spending some extra time on understanding it will help you a lot and it will also make the exercises easier.

It won't be wasted time!

Check the conditions when applying theorems

If you are going to apply a theorem, you need to make sure that the precontitions are met.

If not, you won't be able to apply that theorem, be careful!

Learn how to use the software

Sometimes, you might be required to use specific software (like matlab, maple or python).

It can be very useful once you learn how to use it, and it will help you with your calculations.
