Phone call between Colin Shea x reader as she's packing for a weekend getaway. No warnings, just sexy fluff. No beta, all errors are my own. Word Count 437. Written for a prompt from @dusted-souls
“Hey, babe,” Colin said as soon as you answered your phone, “My bag is packed and I’m ready to get the hell outta here for the weekend. Are you finished yet? Wanna come over?”
With a sigh, you looked around at the messy piles scattered around your room and shook your head, even though he couldn’t see it.
“I wish I could, but I’m not even close.”
“How?” he asked in disbelief. “One of the great mysteries of life is how long it takes a woman to pack versus a guy.”
“Excuse me? Who do you think is going to have all the little things you forgot to pack? Huh? Like last time when you didn’t bring anything but a toothbrush?
Adorably cocky – you could practically see his smirk – he replied, “Forgot, or just knew I didn’t have to bother because you’d have everything in your bag?”
“Oh really, is that how the game works? I may have to rethink my strategy here and “forget” a few things myself.”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Isn’t that what hotel concierge is for? Hopefully they’ll have what we need in case I ‘accidently’ leave my toiletries behind.”
“You could leave everything behind and we could skip the wedding and just stay naked in the hotel room all weekend.”
“Mmm, that does sound tempting…”
“Are you planning to wear that little black dress I love so much?”
An idea popped into your head and you asked, coyly, “Which one?”
“Which one? The one you wore to that Christmas party. Remember, when we had to sneak off the coat room because you just looked so fuckin’ delicious in it?”
“I don’t think I’ll ever forget that party. Are you wearing the suit you wore to that one or something a little more formal?”
“Should I go more formal? Is there a second dress option if I do?”
“It’s possible you could walk in on a French Maid dressed in her short black dress, high black heels, stockings and feather duster if you do. She does love to come out to play when things will get extra dirty and there’s a tie involved.”
There was silence for a moment, then you heard Colin swallow and say, “I gotta go. Looks like I have some repacking to do.”
You had him right where you wanted him. As you pulled the costume out of a box in your closet, you said goodnight with a french accent.
“Oui, oui, Monsieur. Sweet dreams.”
Two little black dresses packed, now if only you could find a way to stop procrastinating and finish packing the rest of what you needed.
Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad - Steve Rogers x Reader
Inspired by the Meatloaf song. Warning for angst.
When Steve Rogers had invited you to go out for a romantic dinner by candlelight it had instantly filled you with hope. After several months of dating you knew he cared deeply about you, and you’d told him that you were falling in love with him. He showed you the same with his actions, but the words just never seemed to be able to cross his lips. Perhaps he was wining and dining you because he was finally ready to do so.
By the end of the meal it was clear that any expectations you had about finally hearing those three little words would end in disappointment. You mustered up a smile as best you could when he asked if you were okay, but inside your heart felt like a glass about to shatter.
You returned together to Steve’s apartment after dinner and he excused himself to go to the bathroom. While waiting for him to return, you wandered over to the window and looked out over the city lights, giving yourself a few moments to think.
Your expectation was that by this point in the evening you’d be floating on cloud nine. Instead, you stood there feeling frustrated, defeated, and quite sad. No matter how strongly you loved him, you had a feeling it would never be enough to penetrate the wall he’d had around his heart.
When he returned to the room, he immediately found you and snuggled in behind you as he enveloped your body in his arms. The warmth of his mouth melted the tight muscles in your neck as he made a trail of kisses along it. His large hands began to roam over your curves as his hips started to grind against your backside. Steve nuzzled his nose into your hair, getting close to your ear, and whispered, “I want you.”
Normally you’d succumb to the passion he so easily brought out in you. Tonight, however, your mind was in control and your body tightened and pulled away at his words.
Feeling you shrink away, he cautiously released his hold on you and asked, in a concerned voice, “Is everything okay?”
You turned around to face him and, after a deep breath, cast your eyes down and admitted, “No. Actually, I think we need to talk.” After a few awkward glances and a heavy silence, you decided to start the conversation.
“Steve, you know that I love you. These last few months together have been amazing, but after all this time, I still don’t know really know how you feel about me.”
He shook his head as if it was the most ridiculous accusation he’d ever heard and quickly answered, “I’m crazy about you, you know that!”
You simply stood and looked at him in the eyes. Him being “crazy” about you is not what you wanted to hear and you weren’t going to let him beat around the bush any longer. You deserved more than that.
Squaring your jaw, you asked him directly, “Is that it? You’re ‘crazy’ about me. Is that the only word you want to use right now?”
He was unexpectedly on the spot and was trying to come up with a response but his words were failing him. Sentences kept starting and stopping as he attempted to answer your question.
You knew all too well what the problem was. Or rather, who the problem was. At that moment, it was crystal clear and you let him off the hook by putting it out in the open. “I get it, Steve, I do. I can’t compete with the ghost of Peggy Carter.”
Sharply, he turned his focus upon you when you said her name. His eyes softened at the sound of it. You didn’t know if it was because he heard it, or because he knew where you were going with it. Quietly, he asked, “What makes you think you have to?”
“Because I’m not blind, and I’m not stupid. What you and she had was precious and cut off way too soon and abruptly. It wasn’t fair to either one of you.”
You took a moment after acknowledging his pain before making your stand.
“I don’t know if you’re somehow still waiting for her, or why you’re keeping your heart like a prisoner, but the reality is that she’s gone, Steve. She’s gone and she’s never coming back. I’m sorry for that, that you missed out on all those years you could have had with her. But Fate, or God, or whatever it is that you want to call it landed you in the ice and brought you back into the world now. You still have a whole life ahead of you. I would love to be a part of that life, but only if you’re willing to embrace what’s before you and move on with me in it.”
Steve was speechless, and you let him process without saying more yourself. The fact that he wasn’t trying to argue your points confirmed that you hit the nail on the head about things.
Tentatively, you took his hand in yours and got him to look you in the eyes. “I’m going to ask you one more time. How do you feel about me?”
You knew he loved you. You felt it in your heart and soul. But knowing it and hearing it from his lips were two different things. His eyes pleaded with you and you saw him swallow hard. At that moment you knew what his decision was.
Sincerely, you said to him, giving his hand a squeeze, “I hope that someday you find a woman that can penetrate that brick wall you’ve been around your heart.”
You let go of his hand and started to move away to walk around him, but he got a hold of your arm and stopped you. In the next instant he was hugging you tightly. You returned the hug and tried your best to stay strong as he kept saying, “Don’t go. I need you.” When he whispered, “I’m so sorry,” you knew he’d made his choice.
You turned your face to place a kiss on his cheek and then told him, “You’re an amazing man, I wish things could be different.”
The embraced ended. No eye contact could be made this time. Instead, you touched your hand to his cheek and quietly said, “Goodbye, Steve.” Moving quickly, you retrieved your purse from the table beside the sofa and exited his apartment, walking briskly down the hallway. You needed to reach the fresh air outside and to find a safe place to release the sobs that were welling up in your throat.
The night certainly hadn’t gone the way you’d expected. Your heart was fractured, but you knew it would heal. You could only hope that someday Steve’s could, too.
I want to take a moment to thank my readers for their amazing support and patience as I worked on getting my head back into writing. It’s been almost exactly a year since the last update. This pair is finally speaking to me again and I’m capitalizing on it and writing as often as I can. Much more to come, the story is definitely not over. Not by a long shot. I’ll have several “Extras” soon, too.
New chapter added tonight can be found on Wattpad and Ao3
Masterlist to all of the adventures of Chris and Nicole can be found here
Thank you to @mrs-captain-evans for providing beta on this chapter and for always being there to help me enhance the scenes and pull the threads to make it better. Also, I was so nervous about posting again after so long that I needed some encouragement and an extra pair of eyes from some long time readers to make sure it was good enough to print. @firedolphin04 @ibingeonbonbons and @jbug491 were kind enough to step up to the plate and help me out. Love my “Escapees” and I hope it was worth the wait.

Steve’s eyes slowly opened as a ray of soft morning light made its way through an opening in the curtain. His arms held what he thought was her warm body, but instead he found himself nuzzling up to a pile of blankets and a thick pillow.
His mind was in a haze. Did he dream the events of last night? Steve brought his hand up to swipe his hair out of his face and caught the lingering scent of her on his fingers. He inhaled, relishing in the unique notes that were only hers. He could practically taste her upon his tongue, as the memories of their lovemaking flooded through his mind.
No. It most definitely was not a dream. The question was, where was she?
Steve turned in the bed and sat up, the chill in the room causing goosebumps to break out across his naked body. He rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands and let out a deep, satisfying yawn.
As he was about to stand up she appeared in the doorway. God, she was beautiful. It was becoming increasingly difficult to avoid letting his gaze linger on her during meetings at the Avenger’s Tower, or to not touch her in public. But they’d agreed to keep their relationship a secret in order to let it grow at their own speed.
To everyone in their circle, they were simply friends.
But friends don’t know the way you taste.

Summary:
Summary: Who would ever guess that winning a contest could change a life forever?
When 34 year old Nicole Frasier won the Omaze contest, “Escape With Chris Evans,” she expected to have a day she’d always remember. What she didn’t expect was the spark between she and Chris. A connection so strong that by night’s end, saying goodbye is just not an option.
The story chronicles the relationship between an average woman and a movie star. How they build a relationship that’s both a deep friendship and romantic. How they navigate the time apart, the insecurities they each face and the past demons they need to overcome. The passion that comes when you’ve met the person you’re supposed to be with, and the struggles that come when fame gets in the way of it. There’s a lot of fluff, a lot of laughter, a lot of smut, and a lot of heart. This story and all the associated separate stories containing the characters are written in second person pov.
“Boot Scootin’ Boogie” - Chris Evans x OFC Nicole Frasier
This is an Escape Extra written for @evanstanwrites who requested a story based off my characters from Escape with Chris Evans and the gif of the dog below. I happened to see a gif of Chris from RSDR right after and my wonky brain merged the two images into this story. Hope if makes you smile.
Word Count: 511 Warnings: None, all fluff
Nicole walked out of Chris’s master bathroom just in time to find Dodger making his way across the carpet again. Unfortunately, he wasn’t walking. Instead, he was doing what she called “The Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” which was legs held up in the air, butt pressed down firmly and dragging along the flooring.
Her loud, stern command of “Dodger, NO!” startled Chris, who she had left sleeping soundly, and naked, in the bed.
“What’s going on?” Chris asked with a deep, grumble as he blinked his eyes in confusion, trying to figure out what the shouting was about. It was a little past 9 a.m., but he really wasn’t much of a morning person when he didn’t have to be up for work.
“I’m sorry, hon, I didn’t mean to wake you. Dodger was at it again,” Nicole said, apologetically, as she bent over to pet the sweet dog in question.
Upon hearing her voice, Dodger had immediately obeyed her and came to sit at her feet. He licked her face and she gave him a smooch on the white patch of hair surrounding his nose.
Nicole stood up and looked at the dog thoughtfully, then looked over at Chris and suggested, “I think it may be time to take him to the vet for a checkup.”
Chris let out a yawn and began to stretch and move the blankets off of him. Dodger left her side and bounded away towards him, but took a detour at the last moment to go around to the far side of the bed for his stuffed lion.
Chris, who was quite scruffy looking from letting his hair and beard grow long for a role, started to get out of bed. Nicole certainly didn’t mind the new look. Not one bit. As much as she loved the clean faced Steve Rogers when they’d first met, Chris with a beard and long hair had surpassed it as her new favorite kink.
From the bed, Chris voiced his agreement, “I’ll give them a call now, see if we can bring him in today.”
With that, Chris planted his fists into the mattress and used them as leverage to swing his body forward.
At the same time Dodger, who had taken a spot at the foot of the bed to play with his stuffed animal, dropped it and let out a series of small whines. He began to scoot his way across the floor again.
From Nicole’s vantage point, the similarity in the way they were moving their bodies towards her, both sliding along on their bottoms, struck her silly button and she busted out in loud laughter. Both Chris and Dodger stopped in their tracks and cocked their heads to the left, as if questioning what was so funny. Dodger’s ear flipped up as Chris’s hair flopped over.
It was the last straw. She took a few steps backwards until her back had reached the wall, which she then slid down as stronger waves of laughter took hold.
Apparently, the saying was true. Like father, like son.
