We are redistributing funds with the intention to promote autonomy and the creation of community care networks. Individuals who are awarded the Fungi Community Autonomy Grant share similar values and vision for creating, like mycelial networks, systems of care that can respond to community needs without the involvement of carceral systems that only serve to perpetuate generational trauma by separating families and serving the prison industrial complex. For those who are building community and affinity groups that are not affiliated with any institution, this grant is for you and we welcome you to apply. The funds being granted were raised though fundraisers from zine sales, the spring virtual gathering, and individual donations by people who also believe in abolishing systems of oppression. The application form is in bio and will remain open until Wednesday, November 24th allowing almost 2 weeks for people to apply.
