It's finally done! This is a cross stitch of @riadoodles piece Unexpected Splendor (made with permission). This took me about two months to make, and while I didn't time myself, I'd estimate it was 80-100 hours of work.

This was my first time drafting my own cross stitch pattern! I learned a lot. Kinda wish I'd known everything at the start but oh well! I still love how it turned out and I'm happy to have it hanging on my wall.

Because I'm very proud - here's my cross stitched Boston PWHL logo! Its been placed inside of a coaster with a piece of dark green backing fabric

Additional details (and progress pics!) under the read more:

I self drafted the pattern, with the idea to backstitch the waves from amesadoodle on Reddit. It's done on 25ct Lugana, 2 threads over 1 square, with single diagonal stitches (mostly for speed)

Progress Pics:

(the little stringy threads on the front are waste knots, they get clipped as I go along!)

(I was testing a border at one point (as you can see) but I decided on the solid color backing fabric instead and took it out)

Final Stats for Fun:

Stitches: 2,462 (+ however many back stitches)

Time: 14.25 hours total (10h/14.25h strictly stitchwork)

Made a little pokeball terrarium for Sableye with real crystals

Made these of the rats i had/have. I ll add more if i get more rats irl.

It was a way to cope with artemis being put down. I dont want to forget about them so im making them into little clay sculptures for people to find once im dead lol
