I never thought my parents would be so opposed to church!
When I was drinking and dating a druggie, they hated it. Now I put a Bible on my Christmas list and I get a lecture and I'm not allowed to go to church on Christmas day. What? Do you even know what Christmas celebrates?
Hey, so as a christmas tradition in my family the kids get books every year. Mum's asked for recommendations for my sister who's 23 and reads chic lit. I pretty much only read sci fi and dystopian these days :\ Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Well, as a 23 year old who occasionally reads “chic-lit” I hope I can give good suggestions.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple is awesome. I’ve loved every book I’ve read by Sarah Addison Allen, so look her up. Meg Cabot has some pretty cute chic-lit books like Queen of Babble and Size 12 is Not Fat. The Devil Wears Prada, if she hasn’t read it, and The Nanny Diaries.

Especially Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer. Or Don't Look Down by the two of them. They have the perfect blend of humor, romance, and a little sprinkling of action.
