The Dreamer ✨
Creative Strengths
Connection to emotions and imagination, empathy and sensitivity
Untapped Potential
Using dreams to fuel real-world action
Ideal Collaborator
The Innovator
The world is a place of beauty and magic in the eyes of a DREAMER. Where others see facts and figures, you see symbols, metaphors, and hidden meanings.
You’re deeply emotional and intuitive, with a vivid imagination—the quintessential idealist and romantic. The inner world is always where you’ve felt most at home. You’re happy to roam your mental landscape of thoughts, emotions, and fantasies for hours on end.
You’re naturally drawn to express your inner world through literary pursuits, music, and the visual arts. Think of yourself as the “magical realist” of the creative types: like the literary masters of that genre, you naturally infuse your everyday life with the beauty and wonder of the imagination.
Your greatest gift is your depth of sensitivity and empathy, which allows you to give voice to universal human emotions in a way that touches people on a profound level. Your greatest challenge is learning to balance dreaming with disciplined action—which starts with coming back to the present moment. Let your mind roam free, DREAMER, but don’t forget to return to the here and now. Practicing mindfulness will go a long way in helping you turn your dreams into reality.
Seek out opportunities to collaborate with INNOVATOR types, who combine your lofty idealism with a focus on pragmatic solutions. The grounding energy of the INNOVATOR can inspire you to apply your imagination to real-world change.

Not so long ago, I was told I came from another planet. This may be true after all xD
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I found the Adobe Creative Types test very affirming! Looking for my best collaborator types today while playing my sims I started to wonder--
What is my OC’s Creative Type
Who is my OC’s perfect collaborator?
For whom does my OC fill the role of perfect collaborator?
So now that is your task! Answer those three questions for the sim of your choice. (If you want to do it--it’s probably a crazy idea, but I guess that’s my schtick?) I’m going to tag @shhhushhh, @sommeliersims, and @treason-and-plot to do this.
If you want to see my answers...
I’m going to do Amara Simwym--though you all know her as Amara Reaper, wife of celebrity reaper, Hugh “The Grim” Reaper. Her Creative Type is The Innovator! She is full of ideas and ready to look for solutions to any problem that comes her way. She is a scientist, and while that might not sound like a creative career, it requires quite a lot of creative thinking! (The truth is, Amara is a bit of a simself.)
As you see here, she is trying to puzzle out what is wrong with this computer she’s been trying to repair. Coming up with solutions to problems like this is really her thing, and of course carrying out that plan and falling short is how she met her husband, the Grim Reaper. She really didn’t have the skill for this repair job! The biggest challenge of her life hasn’t been conquering death--it’s sticking with her plan to see all of her children explore a different Supernatural state. She’s getting bored with it and is ready to move on and have grand-babies!
Anyway...back to the task at hand. Her ideal collaborator is The Maker, and I would say Hugh is that in her life. He is great at doing things like mastering the cooking skill and learning to prepare the most difficult dish in the Simuniverse to resurrect her and give their children the full life they deserve. Left to her own devices, Amara would have given up and looked for a new solution to their difficulties, but Hugh put in the necessary work to see the task through to completion.
Amara’s type is the the ideal collaborator for The Dreamer, and Amara will find herself filling this role with her youngest daughter, Nassim. She is a very artistic little girl and full of mischief. This will express itself in her choice of which occult state to pursue, and will no doubt have her seek out her mother’s guidance (probably after she’s gotten into trouble). Nassim will need help to focus and apply her creative energies in practical (non-disruptive, actually useful!) ways. For now she is still a toddler, but that is the plan...if I get there!
