Playing with perspective, but didn’t quite plan it right - I would have liked it to be slightly further left. I’m liking the wool effect though, it looks deep and woolly. Trying to draw an animal every day. I have used a few watercolour books as reference points as well as looking at images on Unsplash or istock photos.The eyes need more work and animals have different eye shapes depending on species.

August animal challenge #mycreativeyear The animal challenge has got me working on layers which is good, I have been starting with light, but maybe I need to start with darks. I am also using just a sketchbook so the watercolours are not really doing what they should.

A little bit of my lundy poetry. I took myself by surprise by actually enjoying writing some words whilst on Lundy. The process felt very similar to drawing but just using words instead. #lundy #lundychurch #mycreativeyear #poetry

Inspired by Lundy trips, sometimes on the crossing you can see Dolphins so this reminds me of calm days on the water. The tail needed to be thinner but i played around with colour. This would work on watercolour paper much better. #mycreativeyear #lundy #lundyisland Need to work on the tail size in relation to the body.

Elixir of life - I like the idea of iconic images, so like Warhols campbells soup, I have done a bottle of san pelligrino, I had to do it in watercolour as i was travelling through Europe, however I would like to do this in acryllics to make it pop - I like the green and the pink together and the purple sploshes. I would try to recreate these in acryliic. #mycreativeyear -

Still part of animal august, i took on a lion. The pose is Not quite how I wanted it, but i enjoyed trying to work the fur. I am keen to put work out there, even though i dont think it is amazing. As i feel i need to get used to presenting work that I dont find perfect. So being brave it might not be perfect but its mine. #mycreativeyear - chin hair worked well but not intentional
