Seeing as it was where my internet journey began all of those years ago, I feel it's only right to start this off with some Ranma 1/2

Just caught of few episodes of Inuyasha on Adult Swim and I began to remember how fond I was over this anime years ago. I believe I was around 13 when I first got into it. It was the first anime I’d ever really watched besides the obvious Pokemon and Sailor Moon. It was the first anime where I’d completely devoured the plot line and became obsessed with it. I had inuyasha merch, I still have almost all the movies lying around here somewhere, I had all the intro and outro songs on my ipod, and I wanted to be just like him for some reason lol (what a creepy kid I was). I believe I’d gotten through the first 100-120 episodes watching it on tv and the Internet.

I would love to restart the entire series 1) because I remember it being really good and falling in love with it (albeit super repetitive) and 2) of course for nostalgic purposes.

I don’t know what it was but to me it was like a really good soap opera. It went on forever; completed now and totaling to nearly 200 episodes but when I was younger it never bored me. Many would say it is overflowing with unnecessary fillers- synonymous to Naruto; but I never really noticed it. I mean I noticed the plot going in little circles sometimes but it never felt filler -y. I’d re-watch from where I believe I left off but I wouldn’t know anything that’s going on. We’ll see…

At any rate without Inuyasha I would have never had such a love for anime, such respect for animation, manga, and I just in general wouldn’t have been introduced to such magnificent worlds. Many people don’t really care for Inuyasha because its old and overrated but it was my first anime and I’ll always love it.
