My Footprint

We were asked to imagine the relevance of these items in 100 years. I chose these items as my material cultures objects, because I think they all are significant, they show different styles, materials, patterns and meanings. In 100 years time, people can speak about what some of us, wore, why we wore what we did and the meaning behind them. Each item adds deeper meaning that tells another layer of a story about my family and friends. Each bracelet links me geographically, creating a map of my life- my footprint.

Ecological Footprint

According to http://www.myfootprint.org/ if everyone on the planet lived my lifestyle, we would need 7.16 Earths...is that good or bad? I thought my family was pretty green but boy was I wrong. This saddened me quite a bit *sigh* Out of the four categories, I only beat the national average in terms of goods and services. I failed in carbon, food, and housing :( I guess I am not quite in the green movement as I thought I was.
