My Freedom Day

Activity title: Taking part in the My Freedom Day event

◇ I have recognized and considered the ethics of choices and actions.

Activity description: My Freedom Day is an annual event, backed up by CNN where students around the world hold events to highlight modern-day slavery. In order to participate in this event, my class and I made a video describing what freedom means to each of us in one word. Afterwards, the video was posted on Instagram.

Reflection: I feel that events like these are very important, and one should do their best to participate. Slavery still exists, and it is should not be viewed as merely a part of the past. It made me happy that the rest of the class and I could take part in this project. It was a great opportunity - not only for the cause of the event, but also for comimg together as a class, even in the present difficult situation. I definitely hope that we are going to be able to spread awareness and take part in similar events in the future.

Description:

MyFreedomDay is an annual event brought forth by CNN and many other media facilitators, it’s soul purpose is to shed light on the importance of freedom and the struggles of those separate from it. The event highlights the still ongoing instances of human trafficking, exploitation and slavery - which are the biggest detriments to the freedom of the victims. Therefore, as a class, we decided to contribute to this event by sharing what we think freedom is and why it is important. Me and my classmate Alen eagerly wrote a script and managed to film an intro, and the rest of our class filmed themselves describing what freedom means to them.

Reflection:

This was a unique experience for me, since I never had the opportunity to contribute to an event of such a great significance. I am happy that the rest of our class was willing to contribute to the cause and the everlasting for freedom. In the future I hope we as a class can participate in more events such as this one, as it was a wonderful time, not only because of the noble cause, but also the fun we had while filming it.

Even here across Europe especially in France🇫🇷, I can easily invoke human rights in more ways than one:

▪️social treatment in different discriminatory classes

▪️harassment by espionage and in house searches with theft w/o legal reasons ! ▪️harm to physical integrity w. poisoning, radiation, gassing by the state forces, thus sneakily out of prosecution nor charge ! ▪️taping and hijacking of the telecommunication in the back of the law ! ▪️counteracting enterprise or job searches ...

▪️false allegation on abusive citizen records

▪️hidden "big brother" policy extended with corruption of the surrounding ...
