ChrisTrev headcanons pls 🥹🥹🥹

EEEEEEEEEH YES THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!

Okay so this is likely gonna be pretty basic, I don’t think my christrev thoughts are that unique but either way here goes :)

I like to think that Chris and Trevor did know of each other in passing before Trevor joined the Drama Society. I think it was all not good. Tho I do think Trev’s first thoughts were along the lines of ‘damn it he’s an asshole I’m definitely attracted to him’ because I like to think that Trevor’s taste in men is just ‘guy who pisses me off’.

Either way yeah they only really got to know each other during Haversham and they did NOT like each other at all.

Trevor stayed after that (for various reasons) and only then did their relationship become more amicable in a sorta ‘we’re in this together’ marriage of convenience kinda thing.

I like to think that Annie is the one who organised Trevor becoming stagemanager after her and years later once they had gotten together would argue that she is the one they should thank haha

Classic Chris jealousy when Trevor started to date Max for a bit after Haversham. Masked it by arguing their relationship harmed the professionalism of the company. Similar when Trevor started dating the BBC guy after PPGW on and off.

BUT one headcanon I love related to this is that Trevor had been steadily dating BBC Guy (who in my head I always call Francis since the actual Francis will never actually be part of my internal canon bless him) on the run up to Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. What I think happened is that Trevor used him (who was still working at the BBC) to get information about the Christmas carol production so they could replicate the costumes accurately etc as well as using one of his work keys to help break them into the studio. He did this all secretly and after the show the BBC guy obviously put the pieces together and they had a big argument and a main part of it was Francis saying something like ‘you would do anything for him!’. Essentially angry that Trevor would do all of that for Chris (because ofc it was Chris’ idea to break into the studio) and endanger their relationship. This makes Trev pause and yeah they are broken up after that.

ALSO DENNIS’ BIRTHDAY PARTY. I don’t know what it is but something homosexual happened there. I like to think that he and Chris just had a pretty good night and spent most of it together and idk he got a vibe. Explains why he looks so sad when they see Chris kissing Robert’s sister and why he was watching the video near the end to find out the truth. Either way after the ‘never work with these bunch of freaks again’ even after Chris’ apology, Trevor would not make a move. It makes him feel like it’s a one sided devotion and that he is just letting his bad taste in men dick with him again. So he dismisses the crush.

Along the lines of the Mischief Twitter account (?) I think that the Christmas cowboy cardigan Chris is wearing in The Spirit of Christmas is a secret Santa present from Trevor (I actually have a weirdly specific backstory for it which relates to some Trevor family headcanons that would be too much to get into rn). Either way it’s not really Chris’ style but he wears it because it is a gift and I think that’s cute.

Chris forced Trevor to stay home after his injuries in Harper’s Locket, even tho it meant doing 90 Degrees without him and outsourcing all the building and so on.

Generally during season one Chris specifically tried to be nicer to everyone and Trevor couldn’t stop continuing to fall hard. I like to think his roommates (who I headcanon as the other members of Amoeba - again SO MANY thoughts there haha) watch the show and made so many jokes about Chris slapping Trevor’s ass during Harper’s Locket (which is still one of the most insane canon things about this ship in my opinion hahahaha).

Either way the Nativity was the result of a lot of stress on Chris’ part and Trevor’s own anger at his resurfacing feelings towards him. I have a whole thing in my head about what happens immediately afterwards which I should probs write a fic about but essentially I think Chris came to Trevor’s door that night, drunk and apologised. They were on better terms afterwards.

With this is mind I LOVE the idea that Trevor did not take part in the coupe. In his mind, Robert is definitely the worst of two evils when it comes to him and Chris. So yes he absokutely sabotaged Summer Once Again (honestly I can see no other explanation for some of the shit taht goes wrong in that episode beyond Robert’s insane choices haha). After that Chris falls really obviously for Trevor and the two are a lot closer during season two.

Chris is sooooo the one that tried to teach Trevor iambic pentameter for The Most Lamentable. No one can convince me otherwise. It was out of spite that he gave Trevor the keys obv but he also wanted to spend more time with the man so arranged lessons for iambic pentameter when literally NO ONE ELSE needed to speak that way. UGH (I love this one sorry hahah)

Now obv Trevor is fucking wrecked after Chris gets shot. No doubt. And I think some of his anxieties about the festival after that explains his mistakes in the second part of it. So then ofc everyone is unconscious and Jonathan goes on to be crushed.

BUT UWBAKJAHSOFB sorry. I just adore the fact that Trev and Chris are the only two conscious in that hospital. I love the fact that Trevor is probably hating himself for hurting his friends and Chris is a mess (worried about his show and friends) and they need to comfort each other.

Either way yes UGH this pretend scene that definitely happened in my head is like the last straw and they get together shortly after canon as a result. No one can convince me otherwise. Their first kiss was while Chris was dressed like That with the fucking Union Jack pants in a hospital room. It’s just so them haha

Right so that’s the ones within canon. When it comes to out of canon things:

- Trevor likes sketching Chris and did so before they got together. Like he would just be slacking off in the theatre while they rehearsed and Whoops! I’ve drawn my director’s beautiful features again I’m sure it means Nothing.

- Chris used to complain about Trevor always dressing sleeveless because it was ‘unprofessional’ (def not because he kept getting distracted nooooo)

- After they get together Chris meeting the other members of Ameoba officially is like meeting the parents. They are very much sizing him up to see if he deserves their Trevvy.

- Trevor moves in with Chris after a while and they have a strict ‘no work talk’ rule in the house which Trevor mainly has to use on Chris because this man will not stop thinking for one second. Eventually he just has to shut him up by kissing him and if anything that encourages Chris to speak more about work haha

- their evenings consist of a lot of like parallel activities. Trevor likes to watch mindless action movies while lying on Chris, who reads. Trevor is always amazed he can read while the movie runs and Chris is just like ‘I could never be distracted by this tosh’ (tho sometimes he does get sucked in to the film without realising hehe).

- They def try to keep their relationship separate from work for a time, especially during their early figuring themselves out period where only Annie knows. This does not last long because they are too gay.

Aaah there is probably more but my brain is blanking and I also think this is probabaly really fucking long. My apologies. I know most of this is oretty basic but god I love these two and shaking them in a jar together. Supernatural creatures

Chris Bean = Vampire {not the hot and sexy kind. no way. I'm taking What We Do In The Shadows type unadjusted period vampire trying and failing to fit in. Something about having older taste in general, maybe reminicing on classical theatre and ballet because he's been around so long. Being awkward and pale. Very Chris behaviour}

Robert Grove = Devil?? Demon?? {Idk this man is just going around trying to trick people into making deals with him in exchange for his soul and being really really bad at it. All his chaotic energy I think works well for this as well as his scheming nature}

Annie Twilloil = Dwarf {Specifically in a Tolkein sense - Omg btw does anyone wanna hear about my goes wrong show LOTR AU??? - I think dwarfs are highly capable but also full of rage, just like my favourite lil pookie Annie!!}

Trevor Watson = Werewolf {I always liked bearded Trev from PPGW and ACCGW, thought it was a good look for him. Also something about that specific brand of werewolf where they are supposed to 'live like animals' with poor manners and general laziness unless they get really angry, which I think is very Trevor. Also I have a big headcanon about Trev being this super loyal to a fault guy with people he considers in his circle which is sorta dog coded and for christrev purposes I've always liked the werewolf x vampire aesthetic haha but that's by the by}

Max Bennett = Fairy {You guys know Puck from Mindsummer Nights Dream? Yeah, that. Very mischievous, very jolly, not necessarily small so he can still give his friends bear-hugs. Can't imagine him as anything else.}

Sandra Wilkinson = Siren {Idk if I'm giving her a fish tail, I honestly don't know that much about sirens but I feel like a creature who wants attention and praise and thinks that their looks are shipwreck worthy is very her. I feel like I remember sirens being able to take the form of whatever would lure sailors best but I think Sandra would refuse to do that because she has a wonderful 'I am enough' attitude. Which is actually very valid of her, my beautiful queen.}

Vanessa Wilcock-Wynn-Carroway = Witch {Very methodical spell and potion making. The sort of witch where all the measurements have to be precise. This would be extra funny since whenever other CDS members tried to help she would get So Stressed.}

Dennis Tyde = Shapeshifter {This is mainly because of his aversion to playing humans in any of their plays. I like to think he can onl shapeshift into creatures he knows about/has seen so sometimes he is just full-blown guessing at what a thing looks like and yeah...it does not turn out well...}

Jonathan Harris = Centaur/Invisible man/ghost {Centaur was my first thought and I think that's just because of the ballet. Invisible man is more of a gag choice I put in, but it's grown on me. Ghost because then he could walk through walls and doors without having to worry if they are locked :)}

Sibling Headcanons

Chris Bean = Only child. Painfully lonely as a result.

Robert Grove = Middle sibling of two sisters. Eldest is Lucy's mum and her name is Charlotte. Youngest is the one Chis snogged and her name is Harriet. Those name headcanons are because I think Robert's mum is some sort of vague personal-help/entrepreneural speaker who believes that naming your child something ending with a hard 't' sound will help with their confidence and brevado. This is especially sweet since Charlotte would go on to name her child Lucy, the exact opposite, with only soft sounds, in protest. {sorry to dump that silly headcanon here but its one of my favs hehe}

Annie Twilloil = Only child but didn't grow up like one. Cousins, neighbours, family friends etc it was like having a big family. They often had people staying over at their houses and Annie, once she got older, often babysat for family members. It is for one o thsoe cousin's children that she is considered an 'aunt' (like in accgw staged version).

Trevor Watson = One older sister, one younger brother and a twin :) Older sister is Tanya (the one he gets a phonecall from in tptgw), twin in Tessa (the female version of Trevor used in productions) and the younger brother is Dale (who I have too clear an image in my head of for no fucking reason haha).

Max Bennett = Only child not because he gives the vibes that he is one but because I think the angst potential that his rich parents want their only child to succeed and take over the business and such only for Max to go into theatre. That shit writes itself. There's more to the only child choice but my Bennett thoughts are actually so incoherent

Sandra Wilkinson = Youngest child with one/two siblings. Sometimes I think there is one older sister, sometimes I think there is one sister and one brother. I'll need to get back to you on this one.

Dennis Tyde = Only child. Cannot imagine this man with siblings.

Vanessa Wilcock-Wynn-Carroway = I like to think that she has a twin sister, who was the secretary in the BBC ACCGW.

Jonathan Harris = Only child to a single mother. On top of that I have put so much angst onto this man's childhood, it's beginning to become a problem.

Lucy Grove = I like to think she has a couple of half siblings from her dad's remarriage but I haven't thought a lot about it.

I'm seated patiently for a rant about Trevor if you have one <3

HELLO! Yes, absolutely!! (I can see you have a couple more asks with more specific questions about our trevtrev so I'll try and avoid those topics :) )

So, not sure what here is canon and what's not, so I'm just gonna state is all like its an opinion haha

Trevor does an engineering degree at Cornley Polytechnic, failed his degree a couple times. When he found out he might fail it again, he gave in and did some extra credit stuff, ie joining the drama society as their technician for his electrics module (like this I'm pretty sure is just canon haha I just don't have a way of checking)

I headcanon him as a gay trans man from liverpool (to get the basics out the way)

Already mentioned I think he has three siblings (one older sister, one twin and one younger brother)

(I can see your ask about his childhood so I'll skip to the canon timeline and fill in the blanks)

Immediately hit it off with Annie during Haversham. Besties from the start to the end no question. She is the one who taught him everything he knows about stage-managering and was the first to sort of help him when it came to who was who in the drama society and how to act (I can just imagine them 'working' on something and gossiping like 'what's with the loud fucker?' 'Oh, Robert? Well...')

I think beyond Annie Trev tried to stay pretty apathetic to everyone else. This didn't work out. He found Dennis too endearing, got to talking with Jonno too much backstage, found Sandra charming, Robert funny and Chris, well, annoyingly hot. Then there's the fact that Max kissed him and YES i love the headcanon that those two dated between tptgw and ppgw.

More on that: I love them being together at some point because I think they would be quite a cute couple in general but not one that would work out in the long term. Especially not since Max was falling for Sandra hard. But he was just too nice to say so and thought too much of Trevor, so it was the stage-manager who had to turn to him one day and be like 'if you like her, that's fine, mate, you just have to tell me'. And it was such a weight off Max's shoulders because he was feeling so guilty and awful :') (I love Max)

Also I like to think that it was due to a poorly run Secret Santa game that Annie convinced Chris to let her be an actor and Trevor stay on as stage-manager. As in, 'oh, Chris, you got me? Well, I can only think of one gift and that is if you let me be an actor' and 'oh, trevor I got you! I'm going to give you the role of stage-manager' because she is a legend and hence would do legend behaviour.

In terms of stuff within canon. Yes, he dated BBC guy and I have gone into more detail in my Christrev ask about how i think that went down. Though to add to that I do think that it was the longest relationship Trev had had up to that time and he did feel sooo bad afterwards.

I think Trev is still in Ameoba after PPGW and they are this metal and cover band. I like to think that each member has very different music taste and that you can really tell this because that feels so goes wrong to me haha

Oh in terms of what he plays, I think Trev plays rhythm guitar mostly and sometimes bass. I think he loves the feeling of bashing out a bunch of chords and its such a good release of energy for him.

I like to think that special arrangements had to me made for them to bring trev to their tv show. Like I think they had to argue a whole case about getting a clause for their contract which stated they could bring their own help along with the help the BBC will provide. The BBC executives people expected them to turn up on the day with a whole band of stagehands because of how passionately they argued for them, and it turned out to be one fucking guy.

Love the idea of Trevor being the person mainly in charge of sets, especially since it implies that he is sooo good at making things and is genuinely very creative. Trev painting as a hobby is so precious to me, as well as generally being a big DIY guy. Like a really small silly headcanon I have is that he has so many DIY magazines at home and that one of the legs of his bed is shorter than the other three because one day he decided he had a Big Project to do on the bed, cut that leg and proceeded to completely forget to do the rest of it. Now he cant'e be bothered and just sleeps at an angle every night.

Also Trevor has a growing stash of tools at home he keeps accidently taking home from the workshop.

I love Trevor having beef with the BBC technicians and camera men and such because SO MUCH of the shit that goes wrong in this show is completely their fault and he would be so pissed about it. Like the BBC off loaded loads of below standard or underexperienced people onto them out of spite.

I think Trevor called Raymond Bean 'Ray' when working with him on The Pilot and I think Raymond made his mind up pretty quickly about trevor as a result.

The long term Harper's Locket thing I got into in my Christrev post so no need here. Tho more generally the headcanon that Trev HATES being taken care of is there. He is an independent and stubborn guy what can I say?

I def think Trev didn't go along with Robert's coupe and honestly its mainly because what goes wrong could only have gone wrong without Trev/ because of his sabotaging. Like 'where are the actors?!' was sooo because Trevor called everyone over to somewhere else to dick with him.

I want to make a different post about everyone's relationships with everyone else because that feels like too much to get into here so sorry

He accepted the speaking role in the most lamentable to help keep an eye on everyone, because these actor types can be so bitter, an did not think tights would need to be part of it. That man protested so much to tights you just know it. Either way I like to think everyone supported him during that with little bits of advice and running lines with him :)

I like to think that Trev struggles with his own masculinity a lot of the time, but there are small things he does to help that. Sometimes he wears nail polish and he is learnign to accept his goth phase.

Loves action movies. Thinks explosions are cool and its nice to know he doesn't need to clean up the mess left behind by them.

Hates reading. Finds it difficult to get into books as much as films, but has read books on the recommendations of others.

Loves punk, 80s music, heavy rock, metal, especially made by queer artists. I specifically have given trev my love for the band Erasure (who i am so abnormal about), who I honestly either need to make a post about the number of songs of theirs I link to christrev or write some sort of extended songfic with their music. We'll see. but either way he has cried to Hideaway so many times. (also for anyone who doesn't know, Erasure is an 80s duo of Andie Bell and Vince Clark. Lots of songs about queer love and angst and just I could and have listened to them for days on end and i think Trev has too)

Also generally, Trev loves music! Its one of his favourite things. He will latch onto a song or artist and listen to it/them on repeat at max volume in the workshop while he builds sets and stuff.

He is very protective of his friends, especially Annie (who hates that he is) after she nearly died in PPGW and after the whole tranquiliser thing at the festival.

what are some of your headcanons for Trevor's childhood?

Oh boy do I!

Okay so warnings ahead for transphobic parental attitudes.

Trevor has one older sister (Tanya), one twin sister (Tessa) and one younger brother (Dale).

I like to think that Tanya is at least two to four years older than the twins but Dale was born five to eight years after the twins. (This is written like a fucking school maths question and i hate that I'm so sorry).

Now for Trevs parents I actually have so many weirdly specific stuff about them, mainly because I started to come up with a big hurt/comfort fic idea a while back and....i still kinda wanna write it but....hmmm...okay I'm just gonna try to be brief

As basics I think Trevor's mum wanted to be a sculptor, a very hands on practical person like Trev but left that behind because they had bills to pay and four kids to take care of.

His dad works at the docks, again very practical and his hands are the texture of stone.

In terms of actual growing up, I think Trev had a rocky childhood. He was happy at a tiny child just running about, getting mucky, making things. Him and Tessa were close as can be and were absolutely wild childs. I like to think that Tanya saw herself as responsible for them and would play the big sister card so much and they wouldn't listen haha

I think his relationship with his dad was fine (he liked the fact he had extra pairs of hands - even small ones - to help with tasks and was happy his kids took an interest in his little fixing projects). With his mum...

To contextual this, I think Trev gets his quiet energy and hatred of the spotlight from his dad. On the other hand he gets his passion, creativity and also notably his anger issues from his mum.

So he and his mum could, in the right (wrong) circumstances, be absolutely explosive. I think some of that came from Trev being a 'boyish' girl as a child which would frustrate his mum because she just couldn't understand it and that only got worse when Trev grew up.

I think Trevor found his love for music early on. He had a radio in his room which Tessa tried to destroy so much because of the stupid hours of the day Trevor would listen to it (they shared a room). I think at christmas when he was like 10 or 11 he got a guitar and he thought it was from santa then, but really his parents had taken out more shifts to pay for it.

In terms of technical stuff, this similarly came from his love of music. Getting interested in how amps worked and such. He, his dad and Tessa spent an afternoon trying to fix an old amp they found in a skip, figuring out how it works.

I think his dad loves fishing and took them all out to try it and only Trevor liked it. So there were days he and his dad would spend by the sea or by lakes quietly enjoying the hobby together.

I thinlk Tessa was similarly creative and she and Trevor were in the same art GCSE class and would piss about and dick with their teachers.

I think he and Tanya never were that close (growing up that is I think they connect later but i'm probs not gonna get into that) besides in a crisis because they were the only two who could really keep their heads cool. In another life Tanya would have loved bossing people about backstage but sadly she was all sensible and went into accounting or something like it, but Trevor likes to make that joke to her.

I think one day Trevor found out Dale was being bullied and taught him how to punch. When his parents got a call from Dale's primary because he'd gotten into a fight and Dale didn't tell on Trevor at all but his mum still somehow Knew and told him off.

Duran Duran was discovered when he was 13 and after that well...nothing could stop him. He started to be far more expressive with how he felt, he start dressing differently and came back from a school trip with shittily cut hair and a note from his teachers apologising and informing his parents of his bahaviour.

Yeah from 13 to 18 things got a lot worse in the Watson household. Late night conversations with Tessa hidden under bed covers, first crushes and boyfriends, first band and such all led to Trevor just being unable to hide himself and frankly didn't fucking want to anymore.

The only reason Tanya was put off by this was because of how it clearly upset their parents (she always tries to please them), Tessa was supportive as hell and Dale about as supportive as the little guy could be given he didn't really understand what was going on.

By contrast his parents just tried to ignore it. For as long as possible. And it's not like Trevor always tried to push them, sometimes realising it was only pushing them away and that felt scary. Sometimes when he and his mum got into really bad arguements they'd spend the whole day not talking but Trevor would still trudge downstairs to help her make dinner in silence. Cooking was one of the only activities they could do without yelling at each other.

I realise I keep giving these guys such complex relationships with their parents and making their parents weirdly fleshed out but I literally can't help it. So, feel free to ignore me, but his mum was always just scared that Trevor would end up like her, washed up, with the world having crushed a dream and a person you wanted to be. There I said it, I know, I need to be stopped!

This all culminated in Trevor just getting sick of it all. One night after he came back downstairs to help with dinner and the silence between him and his mum isn't peaceful anymore, just stiffling, he blows up. He yells at her for trying to ignore this side of him, the real him, and she yells at him for for acting out. So on and so forth, years of tension building to this and Trevor just says fuck it! I'm leaving! And he goes to get his stuff. This was like when he was 17-ish, so Tanya has moved out and is working by now. Dale is about 9 or 10 and always hides when he hears Trevor and their mum fighting, so he doesn't stop him. I think maybe Tessa and his dad were out, thinking maybe the two of them just needed space after a big fight they had that morning. So, no one except his mum was there to stop him and she didn't. She didn't think he meant it.

But yeah he left and couch surfed at friend's houses and when he wanted to rent somewhere he started stealing things and robbing houses. He used to tell Tessa it was 'fishing trips' and the excuse stuck. Somewhere down the line he decides he can't stay in Liverpool anymore and applies to a random poly miles away for an engineering course he is just bearly qualified for and moves to Cornley.

And then a fic idea happens which may or may not be written but i am currently using all my power not to just like explain the whole plot of here. So yeah. I'm gonna shut up now

As always, I've probably forgotten some stuff but yeah...that's my super angsty and weirdly detailed thoughts on Trevor's childhood I hope that was enjoyable (???) I love him so much :)

Awww thanks so much! Honestly I've realised from doing these asks that so many of my 'thoughts' about these guys just involve giggling and violently shaking so yeah...

But as for trans Christrev, I typically like to view only Trevor as trans. His 'backstory' (in quotations because its my headcanon and also that feels like such a dnd word to me now haha) is more based around that. A lot of that comes from me seeing Trevor as a far more confident person when it comes to who he is. I like to think that from a young age Trevor knew he was a man and wanted to be viewed like that. In contrast I think Chris is the most repressed person on the planet, mainly because of his parent's controlling natures. So, timeline wise, considering he still seems to be trying to please his parents and (at least his dad) seems open to the idea in canon, I don't really so Chris as trans/so far along in his transition at that point. But this is also if you take my view that his parents are very conservative people who would not be that accepting of him.

However, all flavours of trans christrev and honestly just like trans cornley headcanons are delicious. I think Chris struggling with masculinity while working on the stage is a fascinating thing and could be explored so well. On top of that, if they're both trans, I think that would be such a lovely bonding point for them even early on in their relationship which could be sooo interesting.

I just have such a soft spot for an out-and-proud/repressed dynamic because its one often done so poorly in regular media but SO well in fandoms/fanfics and it just so happens to fit Trevor and Chris' personalities quite well.

So, yeah, mainly Trans Trev and Cis Chris for me, not just because of the way their names work with it i swear hahahaha, but i do love the T4T idea too :)

I headcanon Trevor would be into punk rock, specifically bands like The Clash and stuff

Actually love this! I’m a big punk fan myself so def The Clash, Gang of Four and probs Adam and the Ants would be sooo him.

I love all the headcanons people have for Trevs music taste. I’ve seen goth Trev, punk Trev, rock Trev, indie Trev, 80s Trev, honestly the list goes on.

Personally (as someone with a really strange mix of tastes myself) I like to think that Trev is partial to lots of style. The Clash is such a good shout for him!! Honestly need to relisten to their discography with taht in mind.
