Just a hood
"Izuku sweetie," Inko called through the door, "You alright in there?"
He was still crying, even with All Might's quirk, he didn't get in. His dream of being a hero was knocked down to dust. The school think he's only good enough for general studies. He would never go to Yuuei.
His door creaks open, dim light filling Izuku's room. Inko pulls her son into the tightest hug she could muster.

The t.v. was quietly playing in the background as Deku worked on the homework assigned. The woman of the apartment walks in with a bundle in her arms.
"Izuku, sweetheart, I have a present for you." She gently whispers.
"Really?"
She hands him the bundle, it was green in color. When unfolded, Deku could see it was a green jumpsuit. He noticed it also had bunny like ears on the hood. One of his many hero costume designs.
"What's it for?" Izuku queried.
"I know you didn't get in, but I made this for you, because you'll always be a hero in my eyes." His mother smiled at him.
Tears were now threatening to spill from his eyes. Izuku loved it. In one quick move, he pulled his mom into a hug.

That precious gift given to him by his mother is now just the hood. After many scuffles, and chases that's all he could save. With some help though, he turned that ratty hood into a bomb ass jacket. Deku still loves it with all his heart though.

I spent the last hour or so reading and re-reading this because it’s so good!!! I love this soooo much!!!!!!!! I especially liked the ending part where Astrid sees how Hiccup’s wings were doing. I was squealing at how well I could imagine it. Thank you so much for writing this I really enjoy it!!!!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for writing THE BEST HTTYD FANFICTION I HAVE EVER READ IN MY LIFE. I have extremely high standards when it comes to fanfiction but this was just perfect. I am literally screaming. I cannot wait until this is continued. Just perfect. This whole thing. I cannot. Thank you. What ever you did to make this perfection keep doing that. I’m sorry this is so long but really this is good stuff right here.
