Mckirk prompt: jim convinces bones to drunkenly get up and enter a karaoke contest at a bar one night
Jim doesn't think you can say you've lived life to the fullest until you are piss drunk crooning along to the song you're embarrassed about loving. He tries to tell Bones this but the other man is a little too sober to tolerate Jim's babble.
"C'mon Bones! You can do it. One song. For meeeee." Jim says, patting his boyfriend (they've just started to get past feeling weird about calling each other that) on the cheek.
"Not a singer, Jim." Bones says and takes another shot that Scotty had given him.
"You sing beautifully. I heard you! Over the comms. You sing Joanna to sleep sometimes."
Bones ducks his head, looking a little embarrassed as Uhura exclaims about how sweet that is.
"Fine. But I'm dedicating the song to you." And Bones gets up and attempts to make a straight line to the stage where an Andorian is belting Beyonce.
Jim may be too drunk to to see straight or make a convincing argument, but he's not drunk enough to realize a great opportunity to film Bones and does so. It goes viral in a few hours. For a while, Bones is known as Southern Starfleet Doc Screaming Journey.
