i’ve been yearning to get a tattoo to memorialize my favorite Terry Pratchett book for some time now and the pieces finally came together. now, i officially have two (2!) tattoos! this quote is from I Shall Wear Midnight, one of the last installments in the Tiffany Aching series, it’s an excellent book and has brought me a tremendous amount of comfort in the last few years. my tattoo was done by the immensely talented Jaimie!

was anyone else surprised that this episode confirmed it was solely Milchick’s idea to create the Lumon “reforms” on the Severed floor? i have spent the entirety of this show trying to figure out what Mr. Milchick’s whole deal is, from his deference to authority and his superiority over the innies to his absolute dedication to the cause of Lumon— i assumed he was a middle man. bowing and scraping to achieve his goals and get more power? money? something? but during his performance review we learn that the obviously performative “reforms” are even more performative than we even knew! it was literally solely for Macrodata Refinement’s benefit and it was only Milchick’s idea! i have been running off the assumption that Milchick lives for orders, but this means he has a lot more power than i ever knew. which makes his slow slide to disillusionment (ie. the paintings) all the more interesting. literally what the fuck is his deal. why was he allowed to do all that.

my girlfriend made me the most beautiful cake i’ve ever seen in my life and it was delicious too, feeling so so so so loved on my birthday and wishing everyone a happy new year!

when the work environment is so toxic you’re reduced to writing rants in your notes app at 2am of all the things you want to say to your boss but never can because it’s literally the only way to get any sort of catharsis

the sheer amount of cringe i feel every time i see the quotes from the Heated Rivalry book overlayed on gifs or scenes from the show is insane. how do the words of that book make the scenes from the show literally embarrassing like…. it’ll be the actual dialogue from the book and it just ruins that whole scene for me 😭 jacob tierney said here let me put my whole back into making this shit work and it paid off but dear lord!!!
