Adderall: BRAND is important.
For a month I was on a strange brand of adderall that I had never been on before. It was made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. 30 days of hell. I didn’t know exactly what was making me feel the way I was feeling. I recently had a sinus infection and a cold and figured my fatigue and other symptoms were related to that or some other type of illness. I was wrong. The Mylan adderall was not adderall. I would take it and feel excessively sleepy, and an excessive desire to take a nap. I did not feel focused or calm. I felt disinterested in everything. My heart hurt when I first started the medication. It just didn’t seem to be doing anything for me.
Today I picked up a new bottle of adderall and made sure it was not made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. I wanted Teva, but again, could not get it, so I got Aurobindo. It may not be the BEST kind ever, but holy crap! My mind is clear. I am not overwhelmed by my homework. I feel capable. I feel good again. I really hope this lasts. I had felt so messed up for so long that I forgot this is what I used to feel like from my adderall.
I am writing this post for anyone taking prescription medication (prescribed, that is). BRAND MATTERS. They are not all the same. Ask your pharmacist what they have in stock and don’t feel weird requesting a brand that worked well for you in the past and telling them not to give you a particular kind. I WILL NEVER PAY FOR MYLAN PILLS AGAIN. It is a good day. Take care.
