charater aesthetic: senator aeon starfall kavos, the faceless rebel

the gurlanin, kavos, was orphaned because of human settlers on qiilura before his earliest memory. the young pup was taken and sold into slavery, where his sense of self, worth, and of his species all fell apart, but still he dreamed of home and his desire to return to them kept him alive for the two hundred years it took to get there - from slave, to an assassin on a short leash, to free man. he's done horrible things, survived worse, and has seen the rise and fall of tretchery. when his people grew tired of their treatment and encroachment on their land, and with a staunchly anti-gurlanin senator in office, it was kavos who lead a silent coupe and silently replaced the senator and his staff in office. now, left with the responsibility of a life in office, he and his band of rebels are playing a dangerous game while the galaxy slowly begins to fall apart.

forty-four / rebel pilot & grumpy dad

one of the grumpiest pilots in the resistance, hal spends most of his time alone, especially after his accident which left him with plenty of scars and a prosthetic leg. he’s changed of late, and not for the better -- having come from the empire and wanting to wash his hands clean of blood, he came for selfish reasons but stayed for the right ones. basically angry dad to the younger pilots even though he’s hella bitter he got passed over for the captain’s promotion.

Anton Menall - Resistance Soldier

The fourth son of a family of five, Anton grew up forever thankful to be in the shadow of his more boisterous siblings. A quiet and observant boy, Anton was more content to spend his time making up stories about the people who passed through the station on his home world than spend time in cantinas or dipping his toes into adventure and trouble in equal measure. An older brother got him into shooting and smuggling when it became apparent to Anton that he had no clue what he wanted to do with his life, and for a while he was content to be a bookend to his brother’s exploits...

Until he made the mistake of looking too deeply at the shipping manifest and found a young human boy and a Twilek girl meant to be sold into slavery. Unwilling to face the stain on his conscious, Anton rebelled against his brother and was greatly injured for his efforts. Luckily, the captive children dragged him into an escape pod which crash landed on a Republic Planet. The trio were taken in by a Republic Senator who spoke so strongly and so passionately against the evils of the rising First Order...

For the first time in his life, Anton Menall had a spark of purpose beating in his chest. For the first time in his life, Anton Menall had a family he felt he needed to protect. For the first time in his life, Anton Menall felt he had a need to speak up and speak out...

thirty-six / knights of ren & baby sitter

born to no one parents on a no where planet, and by all means unexceptional by birthright. sold into slavery by lazy things unfit to be called parents, she was sold to the nightsisters – only worth anything because she was sensitive to the force. she spent the better part of her life with her sisters,  embracing dark over light as is their way, learning how to bend the shadows to her will. but once a slave always a slave it seems, and her sisters sell her as easily as they bought her and it burns. so, she is offered a choice – kill the messenger and become a knight or keep being handed around like a knife. it may be the first real choice anyone has ever given her but it’s also the easiest.

incredibly conflicted and emotionally unstable, was swayed into joining the knights with promises of a place where he could feel he truly fit in and a purpose worthy of his potential. still torn by his loyalty to his younger sister keeping him from fully commiting to the dark side and the sinking feeling that even among the first order he’s still the same outsider he's always been.
