What if...? A "Just Like Heaven" AU
A Pre-"It Chapter Two" like the movie "Just like Heaven".
Before all the things in Derry, Eddie (24 years old) is preparing himself for his engagdment with Myra. He is ready to finish his studies as Risk analyser. He probably gets a job in an important company.
But while he was in his part time job as a Limo driver he has an accident.
Meanwhile, Richie broke up with his girlfriend and moves to New York. He has bad luck with his new shows, and his manager told him to not write his own material.
When he finally buys a house in NY, he is surprised for a stranger who said that house is from him. To Richie the man is strangely familiar, but he doesn't know why.
The stranger dissappear. Then he is back, but he doesn't remember anything. Richie thinks that man is a ghost.
The ghost said his name is Eddie. And he is NOT death.
...Until he realizes that it goes through walls.
Richie goes for help, and a guy in a store of supernatural things told him "He is right, he is not death...But you...there is something weird, something strong that pushes you into and abyss of perdition".
"Yeah, man, byeee" , and Richie left with Eddie(not-ghost-now).
They decide to investigate to find something about Eddie. The neighbors don't remember any Eddie.
"We will find something, I promise, Ed's"
"Don't call me "Ed's", Trashmouth".
It's weird and familiar, that nicknames.
They find Eddie is in the hospital, in coma. To see him, Richie has to say he was his...fiance/lover.
He remembers everything now.
Eddie's body looks really bad.
"Your so thin, Eddie Spaghetti".
Eddie asks Richie to leave him alone, and Richie goes home.
Myra comes a minutes later, with Sonia. Both are extremely worried. But Sonia told Myra that is a great moment to buy things for their wedding, and stuffs.
Eddie doesn't want to see both women planning his life.
But Richie...is not alone. He is with other girl.
Eddie feels anger, and wants to leave and die.
Richie takes the girl out. He thinks he will never see Eddie again, and listen that stupid things about heal and...greywater ("Have you ever heard of a staph infection?!'). The girl, a neighbour, went into his house, recognizing him for his shows.
They just talk. About...everything. About how much Eddie would like to study medicine. Or how Eddie thinks Richie's material is good.
Richie confess he...likes other things. Like...boys.
Eddie shows no problem with that.
"Do you love your fiance, Ed's?"
"I told you to don't call me "Ed's"", he said, but he doesn't answer the question.
"...My mother adores her. She said it's exactly what i need".
"...No, I don't love her".
"Have you ever been in love?", ask Richie. He remembers a little boy, with brown hair (like Eddie) with brown eyes (like Eddie) and small (like Eddie).
Shit, he is in love with Eddie.
"I think so...I don't remember". Lies. He remember a guy with glasses, black hair and a with a sly smile.
They stay together that night. They don't say anything. But it's enough.
In the morning Eddie is strange. He looks like a ghost now, very transparent. Both goes to the hospital, and Richie listens the news of a woman who plans to disconnect his fiance.
Richie plans to save Eddie. Why? Because he love him.
Yeah, he finnally accepts it. Bravo!
His plans: kidnap the body. Worst plan ever! 'Cause don't work. Eddie can't breath.
"Richie...I-I'm dying", said Eddie fading away.
"NO...nononono, don't go, Eddie!"
In a desperate acts he gives mouth to mouth breathing.
Eddie wakes up ¡It's a miracle!
...but he can't remember Richie. Nothing.
They go in separate ways.
Eddie is ready to get married to Myra.
Richie wrote his own materialm
The day of Eddie's wedding, he watchs in TV this comedian. He laughs. Even the mom's jokes. He will be in the theater that night, at 8 pm.
"Do you, Edward Kapsbrack, accept Myra Sullivan as your wife?"
"...No", and he leaves, ignoring the calls of Myra and his mother.
He arrives at the show of Richie Tozier.
When the shows ends, a person approaches him telling him that Richie Tozier is waiting for him in his dressing room.
Richie ask about his wedding, to Eddie's surprise (the suit, is the suit he knows).
To Richie's surprise, Eddie said "I cancelled. I can't marry her".
"Well...good for you, Eds".
"Don't call me like that", Eddie saids. "We know each other before?", asks.
"Maybe in a dream", sounds very cheesy "Good luck, Eds", stretches his hands yo say goodbye.
When Eddie touchs his hands, everything is back. The House, the hospital, the nicknames, the mom's jokes.
And Richie kiss him. All is clear for Eddie, who kiss him back.
It's their happy beggining.
And they married and have a puppy to be happy ever after(???)
