That had to be a new record for Jesse. Sure, he’d done some dumb shit in the past, but this was a fuck up so monumental that it was impressive even for him. Still, at the same time, he couldn’t help think that maybe the only reason it had happened was that it needed to. The relationship he was in had been hanging by a thread already, both sides settled into going through the motions for the sake of neither having to make the first move to point out the obvious; that they had been drifting apart for a long time.
This was just the blade that sliced clean through the last of it, and the worst part was that, while he felt bad about what happened, he wasn’t actually sorry for it.

It would hardly be the first time Myra had broken people up, she doubted it would be the last either. Of course, the most recent time she had been enlisted to help, she hadn’t had to do much other than say she was pregnant with the dude’s kid. They had never slept together, but his girlfriend hadn’t needed to know that. Hell, he had even paid her to go along with it and she had bought a fake pregnancy test online to really sell it. But, she could have a lot more fun with this one, depending on the route he wanted to go.
