Is it too late to join the ML fandom? xD

Hi! We've recently been looking for a new whumpy show, and we've seen a lot of Stargate Atlantis around the blogs. Have you seen it/is it good apart from the whump? And also, do we need to watch SG-1 or anything else to understand Stargate Atlantis? Do you have any other recommendations? (we've seen Supernatural, Hawaii Five-O, Firefly, Daredevil, and a lot of the other biggies) Thanks a bunch - M&D

Yes, apart from the whump you’ve seen around tumblr, it’s a very well done show!  The team have a wonderful friendship and it’s really noticeable how comfortable they are with each other.  They encounter dozens of cultures, natural anomalies, alien attacks, resolve issues through science and technology, and have some amazing space battles. I really love it and hopefully you will too if you see it!

You might want to watch some of SG-1 first, maybe just to get the set up on how the Stargate works. But if you don’t have the time you can watch SG-1 7x21/7x22 where they introduce SGA.

Besides SGA, have you tried Farscape? First season was a little whacky but later it got pretty dark with excellent whump. :)
