Death From Above
Look out belooooow
Haven’t posted an art time lapse in a long, long time. I drew this little portrait of Myrnak last year.
Music is Little Flowers by Denison Whitmer - a song that I’ve been carrying around since a World of Warcraft guildmate tossed it my way when I was in university in like… 2006, maybe?
If people I’ve met share music with me, I treasure it forever. I always remember who gave me what. It’s like a little piece of them that I keep with me. When I can use it to either write a story or make art with, it makes it all the more special.
To Jimmy Just a very, very quick, silly sketch in tribute. It feels like I grew up listening to almost non-stop Jimmy Buffett. His music was just the anthem of my childhood. As someone who conjures up story ideas primarily by listening to songs until movies play in my head, you can also bet that more than a little of it influenced both Prophecy of the Circle and Alpha Base in their earliest days, as tonally dissonant as that sounds. Myrnak and his best buddy Ilander (who you haven't met yet) wouldn't exist without these tunes. Ilander feels like a walking Jimmy Buffett song to me. So there. To Jimmy. I can't afford a margarita, but my family's been talkin' about him all day and I've been listening to some favourites.
Myrnak deserves good tunes. Excellent bops.
Suggest-A-Sketch - Rock Star Myrnak
As suggested by Jason Waldron on Patreon~
Masterpiece From WDG's prompt in my Patreon suggestion box: Myrnak presenting an Extremely Accurate depiction of Jahrd. It's so close that it might as well be a photograph. That is 100% what he looks like.
"Well, let's see. The air is warming, the days are getting longer, and the buttercups are blooming. How about a showcase of some tikedi gardening." - William Smith
And a showcase it shall be! Featuring Calterra and also:
... Myrnak and Aurorin! Some actually garden, others are more of the pots on shelves variety, and everyone's got a different reason for what they grow.
Speaking of, man, I need to get on with making my own green space green.
