seriously, there is nothing I need more than angie to start spying on alison and slowly getting emotionally involved, without even realising.
like I want her to just do her job at first because she's an awesome badass lady cop who takes her job seriously and won't back off just because it would be easier. so she takes this fake personality of a new-to-neighbourhood enthusiast of suburbia and it's killing her because it's dull and requires constant smiling and no aviators are in the packet. but she has a job to do and a person to invastigate, so she's enduring it.
she gets under alison's skin because she can be nice when she wants to and she's observant because she has to. so she shows interest in her play, and allows alison to be her guide in this world and alison, who's never had this chance before because ainsley's always been everybody's favourite and she introduced everyone to everyone and alison's not used to somebody's attention and somebody's valuing her opinions but she quite likes it.
and at first angie thinks alison's just this simple, irritating, overdramatic suburbian mom who's irrationally invested in the life of her community. and then she meets don. and the children. and sees alison around ainsley's friends. and because angie's a badass, as we've established, she knows what she sees. she realises this woman she thought would have something to do with all this people-dropping-dead-5-women-looking-like-each-other mess has a fucking shitload of issues, but being a criminal isn't one of them (shhh, we forget ainsley). and somehow she ends up being her confidante??? it's not like she likes it much more than pretending she's into barbecues and pilates, but she's already invested and she senses that alison will fall aprat if someone doesn't help her.
so she slowly humiliates everyone who's cruel towards alison, with her glorious remarks and one eyebrow raised in a mocking expression (taking especially long time with donnie, because let's face it, she finds him pathetic long before she even starts to like alison). she helps alison find confidance again, and tells her she was lying to her and that she's sorry, and they have bonding moment over remembering beth, and then angie joins the glorious crusade to bring down whoever's the biggest enemy of the clone club at the moment.
bonus points for her kicking the living shit out of alison's duche asshole creepy stage director shit after she realises what a douche asshole creepy shit he is.
