in terms of designers I think that Alexander McQueen was literally the last great artist of the 21st century. Vivienne Westwood always holds a huge amount of childhood nostalgia to me, as well as Rei Kawakubo throughout my adolescence, but I would say Mrs Miuccia Prada is one of the most intelligent people I have ever had the privilege of researching. There are countless others of course (Martin Margiela, Tamás Király, Hubert de Givenchy, Simone Rocha, Jean Paul Gaultier, the lists goes on)

in terms of current houses I don't think anyone is close to Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli right now, but like everyone else I'm waiting with baited breath for the Jonathon Anderson Dior debut. For some reason I own a lot of Vaquera pieces, I feel like they align most easily with my personal style, but I also love what HODAKOVA and Undercover put out every time. I'm pretty girly at heart, so stuff like Dilara Findikoglu I think is the perfect intersection of all those things (just out of my price point lol)

Is there a fashion week happening currently?

hi my love! we are currently off-season, with houses like Jacquemus (who religiously shows off-season) and Marine Serre doing their respective RTW collections

however, that being said it’s always fashion week somewhere lol & lots of the legacy houses have been presenting their resort collections as runways (smaller companies usually just release look books) - my fave was defo a standout Scottish-inspired Dior collection from MGC which I haven’t seen from her since her days at Valentino!

next up is couture week in Paris, which is always my favourite!!!! it starts in two weeks on the 24th - I’ll be posting on here obviously, but here’s the calendar so you know what’s on! Personally, I’m always so excited for Schiaparelli, but also keeping my eyes out for Thom Browne’s sophomore collection, the guest designer at Gaultier & Charles De Vilmorin!
