Four Fists are Better than Two. (Closed Rp with my-semblance-is-fire.)
Max couldn’t help but feel excited. Glynda mentioned the week before that she had a big assignment in mind that would test the students adaptability and on the fly teamwork. While most students groaned at that fact, Max always smiled when he was able to work with others, though his physique and height wasn’t the best way to convince others that he was a friendly, gentle guy.
Nevertheless, Max was excited to see what kind of assignment would incorporate adaptability and on the fly teamwork, but knowing Glynda, it wasn’t going to be something like baking cookies or making a basket. It would likely involve fighting Grimm, or even other students! While Max hated fighting other students, as long as the cause was justifiable, he’d dot it.
Max made the right call, as Glynda announced that she’d split everyone into pairs, and that the pairs would consist of a member from different teams. Now he understood why they’d have to adapt and work on the fly; they had no clue how the other functioned. Max found this to be one of the best assignments ever! Mainly because he got to work with someone that wasn’t on his team.
Glynda then began to call up people and assigning them group numbers, and it wasn’t long before his name was called. Max made his way up to the stage and stood there politely as Glynda called his partner’s name. “Maxwell Myton will be paired with Yang Xiao Long to form pair 7. Will Miss. Xiao Long please come up to the stage.” Glynda called out.
Max felt like he heard that name before, but he thought he heard of plenty other names before, and made himself look like a fool then, so he was just going to keep his mouth shut and meet his partner.
