An update. (spoilers, it’s not good)

Well first of all, I’d like to thank the lovely folks who have kindly uploaded my old files to simscave and other various places – you’re so kind and I can’t thank you enough!

I’d also like to say to whoever the fuck it was who filed false copyright claims on my files: congratulations, you win. I am done. In the past I’ve been hacked, had my domain registration compromised (which took a lot of jumping through hoops to fix), I’ve been falsely accused of copying others work, and just generally had to put up a lot of shit, all for a game. A game! It’s ridiculous!

Well, as I say – you win. After this copyright claim business, I have just received an email from mediafire that tells me that my account has been purged. So everything is gone. I can have my account back, sure, but all the files are gone.

Not only are my Sims files gone, but any work related, personal files that were on there are gone too. So yeah, thanks a lot asshole.

So thank you everyone else for all the kind words of support and for downloading all my stuff over the years, but unfortunately I am out, donesies, over it.

Sims 3: For Whom Do We Create?

Since having spent the day in a pursuit of male sims hair, I came across some interesting numbers about which groups of sims are mostly represented in downloads via MySims3Blog. I am sure is same on any large Sims creator community.  

So, this isn't about MySims3Blog, for whose existence I am truly grateful!

Also, the information is just for fun/education and not to judge anyone.

Well, take a look at some of the numbers and decide for yourself:

As of 27.08.2104

Clothes:        Female    Male

Toddlers        198           119

Children        269            122

Teens           531            155

Adults (YA)   4127          1167

Elders           196            37

Hair:            Female     Male

General       4035           917

Gender Conversions: 72 (includes f-to-m, m-to-f, mainly hair from what I tell).  Generally, not much available for Trans community representation.

Accessories:  

There are more Gun Accessories (13) than Infant Accessories (8);

also interesting is that there are an equal amount of  Knives & Sword (37) and Wings (37), 

even Gloves are less important (29) than weapons, angels, demons and fairies.

Handbags (67) are more important that Backpacks (12)

Belts (7) are almost equal to Infants (8), but Umbrellas (9) are more important than both.

Most Important Accessories?

Hats             420

Necklaces    330

Bracelets     145

Glasses       116

Stockings    112

What About Makeup?

Contacts (529) are more important than Lipstick (346); Eyeshadow/Eyeliner (183); Costume (155).  

Freckles (32) are more important than Moles (30), Teeth (25), Scars (23), Hairline (7).

Well, interestingly Religious Lots (36) have the combined total of Gyms (17), Libraries (14) and Salons (5).

What We Don't Seem to Care About:

Create-A-World: Objects (72) and Textures (12);

But we care about Worlds (514), which we don't like to call Neighbourhoods (15)

Supernatural Objects (6); Simbots (5); Meshes (4); etc.

What We Really Seem to Care About:
