Slow burn or love at first sight?
I'm not too terribly fond of either because I find them both unreal, but I think love at first sight is less unlikely and more overused thus prefer slow burn. I'm just also an impatient bitch who can't stand the slow part hahaha.
Fake dating or secret dating?
Neither? I guess I prefer the possible shenanigans of fake dating vs secret dating. I do think there's a space for secret dating: hateful families like Romeo and Juliet, literally illegal scenario like gay relationships in specific areas/times.
Enemies to lovers or best friends to lovers?
I guess best friends to lovers is more normal. It's what I personally experienced thus the whole basis for Gen 2. I'm not good at writing enemies to lovers (not that I've really tried).
I think amnesia is a tricky one. One of my favorite scenarios ever is The Hangover episode which is why I jumped at the chance to write it with Ibis' birthday. I may have done it wrong but still attempted it.
I don't really care for hurt/comfort (had to look it up), I just think it's unavoidable in Life.
Literally what the Deadwylers are lol
Mutual pining or domestic bliss?
Domestic bliss. I do like mutual pining but limited. After a while it gets to be too much and I just wanna reach in and shake the characters and tell them to just talk to each other already dammit.
Smut all the way. Though I do agree that it's hard to write in a way that's not cringey.
Reincarnation or character death?
Oh I get attached and have been able to avoid it thus far thanks to them being vampires. Reincarnation is not completely off the table but I have put limits. I do have ghosts in my story so they're not really fully gone.
One-shot or multi-chapter?
Multi-chapter. I want more more more! Else then I didn't like the story.
Kid fic or road trip fic?
Another two I had to look up. I subconsciously seek out kid fic or would rather write that one. I've never sought out nor thought about writing road trip fic but thinking about it I have nothing against it.
Arranged marriage or accidental marriage?
Ok but HOW do you get accidentally married? I just got married, you know how much paperwork it entailed? I've never had to visit town hall as much as I did for this. It just... it would take so much suspension of disbelief. So because of that alone I guess arranged marriage.
I CAN think of a supernatural scenario for accidental marriage, and its one I thought about including in my story. Actually it's not completely off the table, if anything it's been deferred. Needless to say it'd be supernatural union, not a legal or traditional one.
High school romance or middle-age romance?
Well by the nature of my story being a legacy I see myself forced into doing high school romance, but I much prefer middle-age. While entertaining, in the end a lot of the pitfalls of high school romance is due to their age and after a certain point it becomes less amusing. Not to say middle-age characters aren't prone to the same idiocy.
Time travel or isolated together?
Hard to do but I'm a sucker for time travel. It's one of my first fics (that I never wrote down so don't even bother asking). I have included it in the Deadwylers since it's a feature that exists in game.
And they were roommates lol, it's just the first thing I thought of.
Anyway both are good, and can be compelling. I keep forgetting to think of (close) neighbors in my story, but I do like stories that use this. Roommates I do more often, either because random rolls demand it, or simply because I need extra adult help in the household lol.
Ehm, neither one is too interesting but it presents some unique chance for character exploration. Both cases. I've only done genderbent for my own amusement (mostly). I do like how body swap can force the characters to develop empathy for the other swapped one...
Crack I guess. I'm weak and like my characters happy so I rather explore a bizarre scenario. I do accept that a better story has angst though so there I end up.
Omg mundane always. I can't stand apocalyptic. I find no part of it compelling, not the survival, not the zombies, or radiation, or whatever else may be going on.
I feel like most people have been tagged already? But just in case, here's an open tag for you :)
