i  don’t  ship  this  because  it’s  toxic as fuck.   People  blame  Lukass’  asshole  tendencies  by  saying  it  was  because  he  was  internally  homophobic  and  came  from  a  house  where  he  was  afraid  he’d  upset  his  dad.  But  no.  He  was  manipulative and selfish.   These  are  personality  traits  outside  being  internally  homophobic.  I  am  guilty  of  being  internally  homophobic.  It  sucked.  I  felt  gross  and  even  threatened  a  girl  who  was  flirting  with  me  because  it  caused  me  so  much  anxiety.  Did  I  follow  through  with  violence?  No.  Have  I  ever  manipulated  someone  to  do  anything  to  make  myself  seem  straight?  No.  This  ship  is  toxic  as  fuck.  Coming  from  an  abusive  household  is  no  excuse.  Philip  came  from  an  abusive  household  that  was  so  bad  he  was  put  into  foster  care  and  he  remained  a  sweetheart  who  would  do  anything  for  the  people  he  cared  about.  Which  is  so  easy  to  abused,  and  Lukass recognized  that.

cheryl’s not sure why she’s here, standing in front of the door of the cooper residence. she’s not even sure of what she wants out of this conversation as she watches her open the door and watches the youngest cooper’s expression shift unexpectedly at the sight of her own the doorstep. 

the blossom heir just knows with everything going on in her life, she's taking those first shaky steps to grow, out from under the thumb of her monstrous mother    ---  she’s trying to be different. she wants to be different, not just seen different. she wants to take those steps.

she wasn’t the same HBIC she used to be. no matter how hard she tried to put on that mask again.

he runs his hands over his face, almost knocking off his trademark choice of headwear, trying to bring relief to stinging and tired eyes, the bags under his eyes telling a tale of sleeplessness as he struggles to find the words to speak. he opens his mouth to speak, but he can already feel his voice wavering, before he stops himself, grabbing the beanie off his heads and wringing it between his hands as his gaze drops to the floor.

he’s not sure why he’s not able to look at her right now   ---   but he knows he can’t. his already drowning under the mess of it all and he doesn’t want to bring her down with him.  he clears his throat, but the wavering is still there as he speaks quietly, sniffling slightly as he wills away the tears he can feel begging to fall.
