Your Backstory:

You and your sisters, whom you cherished more than life itself, were living a peaceful life, blissfully unaware of Demons. You had heard the nearby townspeople talk about them, but they were treated as scary stories used to scare kids into acting well. They were monsters, boogiemen, and the stars of nightmares at most.

You cared for your sisters more than you cared about yourself, always making sure that they were well and never went to bed hungry… So losing them was the most painful thing you ever had to go through.

Not that you can remember, because this Demon Lord, Muzan, saw something in you, perhaps potential, and thus decided to turn you into a Demon and his eternal servant.

To gain your trust and loyalty, he took your precious memories of your life before being turned into a Demon. He stole your life and your sisters and in exchange, turned you into the monster the townspeople talked about.

While your mind can't remember, your body does. The first time you attacked a human was in a bloodthirsty frenzy, but as soon as you sank your sharp teeth into your soon-to-be victim's arm and tasted their blood, your whole body convulsed in sickening nausea, and you threw yourself off of them.

You soon realized that you CAN'T eat humans; it's literally impossible for you to do so. Just the mere sight of red meat or the iron-rich smell of blood churns your stomach and makes you very sickly… But you knew that if you didn't consume any humans, the hunger would drive you crazy and render you into a real monster.

This is when Lady Tamayo and Yushiro found you and took you in with them. The kind Demon lady offered you the help you needed and wanted nothing in return. With her vast medical skills, she made it possible that you don't need to feast on human flesh and that only a couple drops of blood kept you and your stomach sated for a long time.

You offer your assistance to young Tanjiro Kamado and his younger sister. You feel it in your heart that you've lost something important when your life as Demon started, and you know that Muzan has the answers you're seeking.

With Tanjiro's testimony, the Hashiras are aware that there are other Demons that were very much like Nezuko, but they didn't really believe it until they met you. Thanks to Tanjiro's warning, the Hashiras knew not to kill you on the spot, but they are careful around you since, well, you're still a Demon and a dangerous one at that.

You accept your role against Muzan and are willing to work with people who could kill you in a blink of an eye if it means that the Demon Lord will be brought to justice.

As you travel, you come across Tanjiro and his friends and board a train with them, where you meet the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku. The man, bright and valiant man, who brought so much light into your dark life in one night. The man you wouldn't let die, no matter what, even if it meant being burned by the sun.

Blood Demon Art: Voice Manipulation

You always had a gorgeous singing voice; many would always compliment you and your singing, and this continued even after your transformation into a Demon. If anything, turning into a Demon made your voice even more beautiful and enticing, if that was even possible.

Your Blood Demon Art is Voice Manipulation, which allows you to use your singing voice to attract people to you, then control and manipulate your potential victims or enemies.

You can sing gently and entice people to come to you like in a trance, you can hum them into deep sleep, you can screech and cause instant pain to whoever hears your shrill voice.

In fights, you have the advantage in places that echo, as your voice grows stronger there and more potent.

You aren't strongest when it comes to physical fighting, so your voice is your greatest strength and weapon. It's also one of your greatest weaknesses, as deaf people and people who attempt to cover their ears are immune to your singing.

When it comes to physical harm and attacks, you can send out sound waves that cause major physical harm to anyone that gets hit by them.

You can also copy any sound you have ever heard and use it to trick people around you, both humans and Demons. You're so convincing that you would be able to trick even a Hashira if you ever ended up against one.

The Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui is a special case as he seems to be able to read you and your attacks like an open book, and thus, he is your greatest threat. It's a good thing you are on the same side, right?

I match you with Kyojuro Rengoku!

Like the rest of the Hashiras, Kyojuro was suspicious of you at first. He found it hard to believe that a Demon could survive without eating humans, but if Tanjiro swore you were on their side, then he was willing to give you a chance.

When Enmu attacked you guys, you could have easily sided with the Dream Demon, but instead, you fought against him and protected the sleeping civilians with Kyojuro and others. A strong bond formed between the two of you, made of respect and the strong sense of justice you both shared.

You're willing to endanger yourself for the people you care deeply for.

Kyojuro was meant to die on that night against the Upper Moon 3, Akaza… But no one assumed that you would set yourself in harm's way for the Flame Hashira. Akaza couldn't hurt you, a woman, not on purpose, no matter what, and you were ready to stall the fight enough for the sun to rise and take Akaza and even possibly yourself down.

While Akaza fled, the sun started rising, and you were ready to accept your fate, but Kyojuro wouldn't let you die. No, he wrapped his haori around you to shield you from the worst and quickly took you into the train's great shadow where the sun couldn't harm you.

You were stunned. Why did he save you, a Demon, but when you voiced out your confusion, he smiled, "I made up my mind! I can't let my future wife die here, can I?"

W- Wife!? You stared at him in shock, blush overtaking your face, and you nearly fainted on the spot. When you regained your senses, the Kakushis had already collected you, Kyojuro, Tanjiro, and others, and had taken you to safety.

While you did save Kyojuro, he had been hurt enough to force him to retire from his position as Hashira. He isn't exactly happy about it, but he is eternally thankful to you for saving his life and tries to show you as often as possible how much he cherishes you.

The former Hashira agrees to become your blood donor, letting you sample his blood if it means that you won't eat humans. Truthfully, he doesn't like the idea of you living on some unknown donor's blood. He would much rather have you enjoy his blood than anyone else's.

Kyojuro's father wasn't exactly jumping in joy when his son brought a Demon to his house and told him that he was going to marry you… But you did save Kyojuro's life… And despite being a Demon, you're very lady-like, humble, and polite. It's hard not to like you. Shinjuro will be pouty about the marriage, while Senjuro asks you if he can already call you his big sister. Despite being a little scary, he adores you and how you saved his dear brother's life.

You're so sweet and cute, even if anxious and nervous sometimes, and Kyojuro loves you so much and is always close by in case you need him and comfort. Your kindness knows no boundaries, and he sometimes forgets that you're actually a Demon.

Once the Muzan is defeated, and you turn back to human…? Well, your memories come flooding back and thus comes the breathtaking sorrow of losing your sisters… But Kyojuro is there for you, like you were there for him, no matter what, and you will survive again.

You and Kyojuro get officially married, everyone is invited, and you decide to go and see places and try out things you wouldn't have been able to do as Demon, such as viewing cherry blossoms, trying out different sweets, and stare at the rising sun that will always remind you of the first time Kyojuro called you his wife.

FRIENDS/ALLIES

Lady Tamayo and Yushiro worry over you, the first one more than the second one, but that's because Yushiro knows that you can look after yourself. He has to stay behind and guard your Lady, who saved you both.

You occasionally write to Lady Tamayo, reporting your finding about Muzan and sometimes to ask how she and Yushiro are doing without you there. Yushiro and you, the two of you have a kinda sister brother kind of relationship where the two of you sass at each other, and somehow it always brings a smile to your face, much to his annoyance.

Tanjiro and Nezuko and their friends Zenitsu and Inosuke… Those youngsters raise the same sisterly feelings in you that sassing with Yushiro does. They are the bravest people you know, and you will protect them with all your might because they might just have what it takes to take down Muzan.

Tanjiro sympathizes with you, and as the oldest brother, he understands your sisterly feelings. Nezuko is an angel, and you enjoy playing with her and doing her hair, much to young Demon's joy. She likes you a lot because you remind her a little of her and her brother's mother; you're so compassionate and kind.

Zenitsu was shocked to hear that you were a Demon, but you are so cute, he can't bring himself to care that badly. You didn't really like all the attention he was showing you, but you still feared for his safety and how he would fair against a Demon… He proved himself to you against Enmu. Inosuke wanted to immediately know if you were strong or weak, which was amusing, reminding you of Yushiro in some ways.

Enemies

Muzan is your greatest enemy. He represents everything you hate, and he is the mastermind behind your long suffering. You won't forgive him for looking down on humans and what he calls pathetic, meaningless lives. Muzan views you as a failed experiment and a traitor, but he doesn't think you are strong enough to be a threat to him or his plans. Oh, how wrong he was.

Enmu really messed with your mind with those sickening, awful nightmares he put you through, but thanks to him, you were able to regain some pieces of your long-lost memories. Now, if you could just remember who those girls in your nightmares were… Enmu, on the other hand, loves your dreams and the pain behind them and how you reacted when he showed you over and over again how everyone you cared for died in your arms. Truly, your pained reactions were so cute.

Akaza, much like you, is truly Muzan's victim… You don't hate hate him, because you're both more similar than you might ever think. Akaza doesn't appreciate you butting in on his and Kyojuro's duel, but he also admires your bravery and dedication. Maybe in the next life, the two of you could be friends?

— MYTH

It is said that the immortal phoenix, when reborn, arises from its own ashes.

The universe is vast and holds many secrets, the energies and beings within its realm often fantastical in nature. Despite the often surreal descriptions and tales of them coming from mortals on Earth, phoenixes do exist. However, while they are almost exclusively depicted as birds in tales and art, phoenixes are actually much more akin to humans in true appearance… Though they can, certainly, take on the form of large birds with long, red plumes; perhaps the depictions passed along between humans are not actually so far from the truth after all.

Your existence is a long one, though you do not recall how long. In each lifetime as you grow into your late teens and beyond, there is an instinctual knowledge of what you are, that you are something more than mortal, no matter how much you might look like one - and yet, you cannot seem to remember any of your previous incarnations, though you certainly feel like you have lived many lives. It’s this strange, ever-present, bone-deep weariness that you cannot seem to fully shake. While this feeling doesn’t often drag you down, you can’t help but notice it sometimes, in quiet and contemplative moments. You can’t help but wonder what sorts of lives you’ve lived, what adventures and tragedies you must have witnessed.

There is an aching sense of loss, like you’re trying to cling to the nostalgia of experiences long gone, or like someone dear to you has slipped through your fingers despite your best efforts. Perhaps both those things are true; you wouldn’t really know, and you always come to terms with that at some point in each of your lifetimes. Although you can’t remember your past lives, they leave their marks upon your soul, for better or worse.

— LIFE IN LINKON

You were young when the Deepspace tunnel appeared, the Wanderers along with it. While you and your (adoptive) parents thankfully remained safe amidst the chaos of this event, the city of Linkon as a whole suffered significant damages. It took a while for everything to be repaired, for people’s lives to return to some semblance of normal - and you were not wholly unaffected. The appearance of the Deepspace tunnel and the destruction that happened immediately afterwards was a poignant, formative experience in your early years which contributed heavily to your plans for the future.

So, as you get older, you become a part of a well-known philanthropic organization due to your desire to help others and do something impactful with your life. This allows you to meet a number of influential figures in Linkon City, from leading medical professionals to active Deepspace hunters to artists… and many others.

— ABILITIES

Evol -> Flame wing

When you activate your evol, it manifests as two large wings made of bright yellow to orange flames that seemingly sprout from your back. You are able to adjust their size and flame output, meaning they can be dim sparks or a raging blaze. It’s a very destructive evol, something that can all too easily harm others or scorch your surroundings; it makes you weary, sometimes, knowing that you have to be all the more careful so as to not cause irreparable damage. However, it has more use than outright destruction - you are able to fly with them, and you’ve found that they’re very helpful if you need to light up a dark area.

Your evol is very much tied to your identity as a phoenix. You can adjust your form to have actual, feathered wings; your evol is actually quite compatible with them, surprisingly, and the flames overlay your feathers.

Weapon -> Pistol.

It’s something sleek and compact, but still quite powerful. A pistol is also relatively easy to hide beneath layers of clothing, or within a handbag, which allows you to keep it with you while remaining inconspicuous.. You’ve found that you are able to apply the flames from your evol to the bullets, causing them to pack more of a punch and deal much more damage to your opponents.

… Now, why would a member of a philanthropist organization need a weapon like this? Well, a certain someone figured you should learn how to protect yourself if you were going to remain at his side.

YOUR MATCH IS…

✧ SYLUS

In one of your many lives, you met a dragon.

It was an accidental meeting, resulting from you being a little too curious and getting a little too close to places you shouldn’t have been. But you were young, feeling stifled in your current environment - and why not make use of your wings to explore things that most can’t? You certainly didn’t expect to meet a dragon, and despite starting off on the wrong foot, you found him terribly fascinating. But the romance that bloomed between you two burned too hot too quickly, and it ended in tragedy.

What are the odds that you two would meet again, in a different lifetime? A different timeline, even, what with Earth and Philos being one in the same, past and future, connected with the Deepspace tunnel? Sylus remembers you - of course he remembers you, the one being who made such a drastic impact on his life, the one whose soul became intertwined with his own. He is a little disappointed that you don’t recall the experiences you two shared, but he knows he can’t blame you. How could he blame you for something you don’t have control over? He will just have to get to know you all over again and make new memories - memories that he will keep, that you will once again lose with your next reincarnation.

-> [ You meet Sylus through work. ] Once Sylus caught wind that you were indeed in Linkon, he made quick work of learning what he could about you, where you worked, and places you frequented. While he is the notorious leader of Onychinus, well known as a criminal, he has numerous and varied business dealings that he often keeps lowkey or anonymous - there’s no reason why he wouldn’t connect with a philanthropic organization if it would benefit him (whether personally or business-wise). The N109 Zone is a rough, dangerous area. While your organization might not be likely to agree to help within the area, certainly the areas just outside the N109 Zone could benefit from some help.

-> [ A case of opposites attract. ] At first glance, the two of you are very different in terms of your overall demeanor and appearances. Sylus is dark, smug, detached and yet seemingly ever in control of everything around him. You’re gentle, sweet, with emotions that sometimes affect you more than you’d like. And yet, despite your differences, the two of you are not incompatible - you balance each other out, your differing traits keeping the dynamic interesting. Besides, it seems like each of you are attracted to these opposing traits that the other holds; you can’t help but be drawn to each other.

-> [ When Sylus confesses to you, it feels natural. ] He doesn’t rush it, letting you set the pace of your interactions. It’s a gradual shift from acquaintances, to friends, to two people infatuated with each other but not addressing the subject (even though he has long loved you). He’s perceptive, though, and is quick to pick up on your growing fondness for him. Even though you were surprised to find out his connections to Onychinus, that didn’t stop you from interacting with him because you believed that–despite his associations–he was still a good guy deep down. He treated you well, and you saw how he cares for those he keeps close to him.

Sylus confesses to you before you manage to work up the nerve to let him know about your feelings - it’s simple and sweet, and just a little heated due to the sarcastic banter you two were sharing just moments prior, the words slipping from his lips while you two were enjoying some wine and a meal he made for you both.

-> [ Your desire to help those around you and to be part of something bigger than yourself is very endearing to him. ] Even if he wishes you were just a little more selfish. But he can’t hate the fact that you have a big heart, empathetic and compassionate to those who deserve it (and sometimes even to those who - in his eyes - don’t). After all, it’s this compassion that gave you the courage to get to know him, and it’s this compassion that made him want to open up to you. He’s glad that, even though you’re now a different incarnation of the you he once knew, you still seem to be yourself.

-> [ While you tend to fuss over your loved ones, going so far as to stretch yourself too thin for them, Sylus won’t allow you to take things too far. ] Especially when it comes to him - he is not going to allow you to overextend yourself for his sake. For as much as you try to mother him and care for him (and he will absolutely let you, knowing that it makes you happy when you’re able to help your loved ones), he spoils and pampers you just as much. You can take care of him, but you need to let him take care of you, too. Physically, emotionally, financially - he’ll do his best to make sure all your wants or needs are met.

More importantly, he is your protector. He has no qualms stepping in to ensure your safety, but he would feel better if you had some training in self-defense, both armed and unarmed. He’s happy to teach you, and it actually becomes a bonding activity for you two for a while. Every once in a while, he insists on a training session in order to “keep your skills sharp.”

-> [ Sylus absolutely encourages your sassy and sarcastic side to come out. ] He loves it when that polite, shy exterior of yours starts to melt away around him and you grace him with your sense of humor. Definitely the type to try and rile you up on occasion, especially when he feels like you’re starting to get a bit feisty. He just loves to see it! His banter plays so well off of yours, his humor dry but also just a bit goofy. He loves sharing moments of laughter and teasing grins with you, keeping things lighthearted and sweet when possible.

-> [ He spoils your cat as much as he spoils you. ] The man is definitely an animal lover, despite his appearance. It’s just one of the numerous things that draw you to him and solidifies your adoration for him each day. Whenever he visits your home, he greets your cat with a gruff but soft coo and plenty of pets. Fortunately, your cat adores him - unfortunately, your cat adores him so much that it practically ignores you for at least the first few hours whenever he visits. In any case, your cat would want for nothing. Sylus will provide it with the best food, plenty of toys and scratchers and cat trees, and nice collars that suit your favored colors and aesthetics.

-> [ Sylus is both verbally and physically affectionate. ] While his words of affection are often laced with a teasing tone, he has no problem telling you every little thing he adores about you, every little thing he finds endearing. While you may occasionally feel inadequate, struggling with low confidence in your talents or personality, Sylus will do his best to help chase those concerns away. And, of course, the man loves indulging in any sort of physical affection with you, so long as you’re comfortable with it. He is definitely the type to sling an arm over you in bed and ultimately half-crush you beneath his body while you two sleep in the same bed.

✧ RELATIONSHIP WITH…

— RAFAYEL -> You met Rafayel when your organization was putting on a charity event, the type where any auctions or purchases go towards specific causes. However, he is elusive at best, and he wouldn’t have shown up to the charity event if Thomas didn’t make him. The man attracts attention even when he’s not trying, and you happened to spot him trying to sneak out after only being there for an hour. You recognized him; his face has been shown in a few magazines and such. You thought it was a bit funny, an artist trying to slink out of a charity auction and ducking out of sight from his manager. While you teased him for it, you also didn’t prevent him from leaving… though you made sure to throw in a thoughtful compliment about his art before he left.

While the two of you do not chat regularly, you make it a point to interact with him whenever your paths cross either at events you help put on or if you coincidentally spot each other out and about in Linkon.

— XAVIER -> You would see a young man with ashy blonde hair on the subway some afternoons, dozing off in his seat - you didn’t really think much of it, knowing that some people are good about taking naps on public transport and somehow waking up when they need to, so you left him alone. Some time later, you encountered him again. It was late, the moon high in the night sky as you rushed home from a late shift. You were almost home, but the Wanderer came out of nowhere - but it was gone in an instant, cut down by a beam of light. When you blinked away the spots and stars from the sudden flashes of brightness, you saw that same ashy-haired boy standing there, sword in hand. So he must be a hunter, you had thought.

Xavier offered to walk you home, but you declined, stating that you were already close to your apartment building. Turns out, you two live near each other; not in the same building, but close enough that your buildings are within walking distance. No wonder you two saw each other on the bus so often! Since then, an easy friendship has bloomed between you, and he’s one of your favorite people to spend time with.

— ZAYNE -> You and Zayne frequent the same café. While his schedule can be quite irregular, he likes stopping by a particular café near Akso Hospital during his lunch breaks; you often happen to be there at the same time, since it’s also near your workplace. While you normally don’t make a habit of talking to strangers at a café, there was one afternoon where Zayne was spacing out (he looked quite tired, you noticed) while standing near the pick-up counter and he hadn’t noticed that his drink was ready, waiting for him to grab it and go. You knew it was his because he had ordered right before you, and the café wasn’t particularly busy. He was a bit sheepish when you nudged him and nodded towards his drink, but he thanked you for getting his attention and was on his way.

The next time you two bumped into each other at the café, he struck up a polite conversation, and the rest was history. Your conversations are often brief, but pleasant - you find his work rather interesting to hear about, and he also seems interested in the work you’ve been doing.

— CALEB -> An old classmate of yours. Caleb was always quite friendly with you, one of the few that genuinely didn’t seem to mind your shyness and had no troubles interacting with you. The two of you kept in touch over the years, texting with each other here and there, until you suddenly lost contact with him. The timing of his disappearance and the explosion of that home in the Bloomshore District worries you…

— LUKE & KIERAN -> They are pests but also your (secondary) protectors whenever you come by the N109 Zone. They absolutely love teasing you and Sylus, especially if they happen to catch you two in a sweet, private moment. But for all their jabs, they are truly happy for you both and feel that you complement each other well. While you roll your eyes at their antics sometimes, you don’t mind joking around with them. You even tend to mother the two little rascals a bit, which they either eat up or complain about.

✦ Gaius

While you tend to be rather principled with your own morals, it’s hard for you to judge Gaius harshly when you learn more and more about him. He has morals, he knows what most people consider right and wrong and he adheres to that in many situations (even when doing what he does), but he also sees a bit of wiggle room there. Even though his main gig for providing himself is what most people would consider wrong, he still generally has the best interest of others in mind especially when it comes to more complex situations. So the initial interactions with him might be tough - it’s hard to look past him stealing from people when he frankly has no right to. But you’re open-minded and tolerant enough to see past the thief.

He thinks you’re the cutest thing! You’re just so sweet and kind, and your smile is so bright. Gaius would likely do well with someone empathetic and helpful, considering the types of people he usually runs into in his line of work… For him, it would be nice to be in regular contact with someone genuinely kind and happy to interact with him. Seeing you would brighten his day, talking to you allows him to fully relax; he is completely at ease in your presence! And because you’re cute as a button, Gaius would also make it his personal mission to keep you safe and smiling - even if you’re able to handle yourself.

Related to that, he is going to end up becoming one of your biggest hype men. If you mention any of your insecurities, or you even look insecure and worried about something, Gaius is right there to support you and boost you back up. Because the thing is, he gets it. He knows a lot of people don’t think he’s a very good person, and he acts like it doesn’t bother him most of the time. But sometimes, when it’s coming from people who he thought understood him… It can be tough. And Gaius knows that despite his supportive, affectionate, or loving words to you, it’s ultimately up to you if you decide to put any stock in them. And even if you don’t - he’ll still be right there, providing reassurance.

As sweet as you are, though, he likes when your more biting, sarcastic side comes out. Gaius is all for playful, teasing banter (and it is often one of the ways he’ll show affection for those he cares for). It’s all the more fun when the people he teases eventually come back at him (as long as it’s all good natured, at least). When it comes to you, he loves that you’re feeling comfortable and confident enough to sass back to him and share some of the less sweet and sunny thoughts you have about troublesome things, people, or situations.

Gaius will readily take any affection you give him. Showing him affection through acts of service is rather easy, with his massive sweet tooth. But he also really appreciates when you mend his clothes or armor after he’s gotten himself into some sort of scuffle, or helping him with weapon maintenance - they’re not fun chores, he knows, so it warms his heart to know that you’ve gone out of your way to help him with this. Other than that, he loves physical affection, and he definitely leans towards that to show you how dearly he thinks of you. And, of course, you can expect to be assigned several endearing (embarrassing) nicknames.

While you might be a picky eater, Gaius really isn’t, despite his obvious strong preference for sweets (things can be tough when you’re subsisting on thievery, after all, so he’ll take what he can get). If you happen to obtain a food item that you ultimately dislike due to its texture or odd temperature, but you don’t want to waste it, you can pass it off onto Gaius if you want. More often than not he’ll eat it and enjoy it at least a little, and he thinks it’s better for him to eat it rather than letting it go to waste otherwise. That being said, he’s also not going to make you feel bad for being a picky eater. After all, everyone has their preferences, and why should you have to eat what you don’t like?

Your pacing and - if you don’t think he’s around - your habit of talking or singing to yourself really don’t bother him. At the very least, it’s just something that you do, and it’s clear to him that it helps occupy your mind and body in a helpful, semi-active way. But in a way, it almost becomes calming for him. Your pacing signifies that you’re around and feeling well enough to pace around. It’s not often that he manages to catch you talking or singing to yourself, but sometimes he might be in another room and he can just faintly hear you. It’s really endearing to him.

— STORY

Quirks can develop before the age of four, and it was a little while after your third birthday that your Quirk developed. You and your friends loved pretending that you were magical girls, and you guys always came up with whimsical but action-packed plots to enact on the playground. It was one seemingly normal afternoon that you met up with your friends, and in the midst of you acting out your magical girl transformation you erupted into shimmering, glowing orbs! It was brief, barely even a few seconds, but you and your friends stood in stunned silence for a few long moments before erupting into excited chattering about your newfound ability.

As you got older, becoming a pro hero was an idea you frequently tossed around, but at the same time you also weren’t certain if that’s what you really wanted to do with your life.

One of your parents was a sidekick to a pro hero, while the other held a more normal job. This allowed you to see what life was like for someone involved in the hero community, and for someone who lived their life as a normal civilian. Both lifestyles appealed to you - on the one hand, you felt drawn to the idea of helping people and contributing to a safer society; on the other, a non-hero career felt less stressful and burdensome. Your parents didn’t really push you in one direction or the other, allowing you full freedom to pursue what you wanted, something you appreciated (though sometimes you couldn’t help but wish they would share their preferences in the event it might help you make a decision).

Eventually, you decided that you may as well give it a shot.

While you knew the life of a pro hero wasn’t easy with the sheer amount of responsibility, training, and hard work, you were willing to deal with all of that in order to have a fulfilling career and life. Besides, you figured if you really couldn’t handle the stress, you could always take a step back and help in a more limited capacity. You knew that your ability could be very useful in terms of reconnaissance and navigating difficult terrain, which meant that being a support hero could easily be up your alley. However, you also discovered that your Quirk could also be used in combat, albeit limited (until you could hone your abilities, perhaps). You knew you had potential, and you were more than willing to learn what you were capable of and push your limits - so you decided to set your sights high and try to get into U.A. first, with other hero schools as your backups.

You successfully managed to pass the exams to get into U.A. High, landing in class 1B.

— ABILITIES

Quirk -> Light phase.

A transformation type Quirk. You are able to transform yourself into shimmering little orbs of light and move around telekinetically. As a result, you are able to squeeze through tight passages or float around to difficult-to-reach areas. In addition to this, these balls of light you transform into can spark and burn, harming your opponents as you pass by or wrap around them.

Training and advancing your Quirk allows you to transform specific parts of your body while other parts remain whole and solid. Funnily enough, it’s easier for you to transform your whole body instead of individual body parts - the latter requires much more control and concentration, and you can only move the transformed portions so far away from your main body.

Over-use of your Quirk results in overall body fatigue and malaise for mild cases of exertion (which often triggers your abdominal migraines), and/or temporary-to-permanent nerve tingling and damage. There is a limit as to how long you can keep your Quirk active at one time, and you do need a bit of time to recover from longer stints.

You are hoping to graduate from U.A. High and become the glimmering hero, Lumina!

— EQUIPMENT

Given your Quirk is light-based, gold just seems thematically appropriate. It’s flashy, but the black fabric contributes to a sleek, bold look. The hood adds a bit of mystery, and the layers and draping fabric gives it a whimsical flair.

Much like Mirio’s, your hero outfit needs specific customizations in order for it to be compatible with your Quirk so you don’t just lose your clothes every time you transform. When you use your Quirk in normal clothing, you just make sure to move back into your clothing before transforming back - of course, this isn’t really an issue once you’re able to transform portions of your body.

While you can do damage with your Quirk, your hero equipment includes two identical daggers in case you need to use a weapon up close, which can be handy if you’re trying to avoid overusing your powers.

✧ SHINSO HITOSHI

-> [ You first properly encountered Shinso during the U.A. sports festival. ] More specifically, you met him just before the cavalry battle, when everyone was scrambling for group members. The two of you accidentally bumped into each other, but you were off on your way with an apologetic nod of your head as you beelined towards some of your classmates. Unfortunately, you didn’t make it to the final tournament one-on-one matches, but that just meant you could focus on watching everyone else’s matches instead of worrying about your own. Shinso’s one-on-one with Izuku definitely caught your eye, considering the lack of flashy Quirks or physical combat from the purple-haired boy.

It was some time after that, when Aizawa started overseeing his training, that you started seeing more of him. He’d get to train with both 1A and 1B at times; whenever he joined your class for any training exercises, the two of you seemed to naturally gravitate towards each other during breaks, likely due to your more quiet demeanors.

-> [ While Shinso is often misunderstood, you naturally look past what others judge him for. ] One of the first things you noticed about him was that he was very guarded, despite the fact that he was generally willing to chat and could hold a conversation quite well. He just seemed to hold part of himself back; you figured he was wary about baring his vulnerabilities. You started figuring out his hangups when he had his match with Izuku - he was a bit jaded, a bit envious - and he does eventually open up to you about how his classmates were often uneasy around him due to the nature of his Quirk. You definitely feel for him, and you can’t help but want better for him.

-> [ Both of you really bloom when comfortable. ] It’s a gradual process for each of you given that you’re both rather introverted, but it certainly helps that he can be surprisingly chatty (even though he insists that he’s not interested in making friends) and you often find yourself reciprocating rather easily. Neither of you pressure the other into opening up before you’re ready. His guardedness slowly melts away, as does your hesitance and shyness - and soon enough, the two of you are trading dry quips and sarcastic comments. He definitely seems the type to lean into dark humor at times.

-> [ You’re ecstatic when Shinso gets to join Class B starting in your second year! ] Not that it was very difficult in the first place for the two of you to see each other, with you being in the hero course and him being in general studies, but it’s so much more convenient when the two of you are in the same class every day. Besides, this secures you a consistent training partner when you guys have open practice sessions during class (though you’ll probably have to fight Monoma for him sometimes).

-> [ Shinso’s romantic feelings for you develop gradually over time, and he doesn’t realize them right away. ] Despite the fact that he tends to be a loner, he wants to be in your presence as much as possible and often thinks of you when the two of you are apart (especially if he sees something that reminds him of you). He realizes his feelings all of a sudden one day when you two are grabbing something sweet at a café. Your cheeks are stuffed full with a sugary pastry and he makes some joke - he sees your eyes narrow in mirth as you try to stifle your laugh, a hand over your mouth because you know you look ridiculous - and he realizes right then that he wants to always have moments like these with you. Happy moments filled with laughter and joy and love.

But he doesn’t tell you that day. No, he basks in the realization of his feelings for a while, putting together just how long he felt something for you. And as he does so, the urge to confess his feelings to you grows stronger. The main issue is that he tends to overthink things. He has no idea how to confess, and he comes up with and shoots down so many ways he could potentially declare his feelings. Eventually, he works up the nerve when the two of you are hanging out in your dorm room playing video games together; you’re both relaxed (well, you’re relaxed, and his hands have been sweating since he decided he was going to shoot his shot), having fun, and shit, this confession might just ruin the whole evening if you don’t feel the same, but–

Shinso forces the words out of his mouth when you’re taking a brief break, your hands reaching towards some of the snacks the two of you got for the evening. A simple “hey, I really like you” - and the relief he feels is indescribable when your eyes light up and a shy smile appears on your face and you tell him that you like him, too.

-> [ You can’t help but fuss over his eyebags and the dark circles beneath his eyes. ] Shinso just looks chronically exhausted, and while you do come to terms with the fact that maybe he just looks like that now, you also make it a point to make sure he’s getting enough rest. And Shinso… actually really likes when you fuss over him. He’s perfectly capable of taking care of himself, but you so obviously caring for him makes a sickeningly sweet warmth bloom in his chest.

-> [ Shinso absolutely adores your cat. ] In your UA days, you’re probably not allowed to have it in the dorms (unless you happen to sneak it in for a weekend or something), but he will form an emotional attachment to it through the pictures you show him alone. Once he gets the chance to meet it, he will do his absolute best to befriend it - purely at the cat’s pace, of course. Thankfully, he’s good with cats, and they tend to like his calm, relaxed demeanor. You’ll often find him lounging on the couch or the bed with the cat snuggled up nearby.

-> [ He genuinely doesn’t mind the way you pace, sing, or talk to yourself. ] Honestly, he kind of likes the way that you fill the space with yourself and your voice, especially when the two of you start living together in the future. It keeps your shared space lively in a very comfortable, endearing way.

-> [ You can totally get him to take all the personality tests you want. ] Doesn’t matter how serious or lengthy they are (though he might mildly complain with a “seriously - this is going to take me 15 minutes?” for any particularly lengthy ones); doesn’t matter how silly or serious they are, either. It’s fun for both of you to see what you end up typed as, considering both of you have a fair amount of similarities with a number of key differences.

✧ RELATIONSHIP WITH…

— TODOROKI SHOTO -> One of your closest friends at U.A. and a potential “could have been” in the relationship department. You initially didn’t interact with him much, until the dorms were implemented and everyone was stuck on campus - you two started running into each other a lot at the training grounds and library. Despite his aloof exterior, you find Shoto to be really funny (even if he is very often unintentionally funny) and you two get along really well. Interactions with him are really low-pressure. You enjoy getting him into different anime and manga if you both have the time.

— KOMORI KINOKO -> Your closest female friend in your class. Komori was a little shy at first, but she very quickly warmed up to you - you were a little taken aback! She adores how sweet and helpful you are, and you always seem happy to listen to all these little mushroom fun facts she has. The girl has a ton of energy and loves going out to do things with you, but you definitely do make it a point to secure some alone time to recover after hangouts with her. Komori would absolutely be down to do anything like D&D with you, and she’s really good at wrangling other friends in and getting sessions scheduled.

— MONOMA NEITO -> Someone you have a bit of a love-hate relationship with. Monoma frustrates you to no end sometimes because he’s so inflammatory for - in your opinion - no good reason at all. His snide, biting remarks have never been directed towards you, thankfully, but you can’t help but get a bit irritated when he starts bashing Class A, especially considering you have friends in there. You can get a little protective of them! But, despite everything, Monoma isn’t a bad person; he’s hardworking and a good ally to have, and you’re mature enough to realize that.

— EDGESHOT -> Your work study mentor. Your Quirk is rather similar to his, in a sense, given that you’re both able to transform your bodies into something that allows you to pass through tight spaces that normally no one could pass through, as well as being able to use your transformed bodies as weapons. He has a lot of insight and advice for you, which you find helpful. Amusingly, he has become rather sentimental and protective of you, almost becoming something like a “work dad” while he oversees your work study trajectory. While you can be a bit nervous and insecure at times, he’s certain that you’ll become an amazing hero in the future.
