She’d been following him for the past few minutes.

Having gone through the portal that both of her mothers had quite specifically said never, EVER to go through, she had been in this strange realm for only around half an hour, portal shutting behind her. Stranded but oblivious, the pup had taken to aimlessly wandering, gawking at all of the neat sights and particularly strange creatures.

One of those creatures, of course, being Hunter. On stubby legs, she went “sneakily” from tree to tree, ears perked as she hugged her plush companion, Ms. Shrimps the manatee, to her chest.

     ❛ knock knock blights, it’s me, here to check up on that- oh. you’re not the one i wanted. ❜     hunter did nothing to hide the disappointment from his voice as he finally took a look at who answered the door. he’d been hoping to torment the two older blights a bit with his presence. he loved how adults with a bit too much ambition and certainty instantly went meek and weak willed at him simple existing. 

     and truth be honest, he needed a pick-me-up. something to flex his ego on just a little bit. but he supposed he could hold off; seeing their faces as they came home only to have the golden guard waiting for them in their own living room would be just as fun. maybe even more so. 

     he brushed by the boy who’d answered the door without much thought, walking as if he were entering his own room. 

     ❛ guess i’ll just wait. got anything to drink ? i had a whole little spiel i was practicing so i’m pretty parched. ❜

“Even if I knew how to operate this thing, I don’t think I’d be allowed.” Nor would it inherently be a good idea. She remembered some of the unforeseen consequences of Varian’s help with her duties last time. “Pretty sure this is a job to be done by hand.” As much as she hated that.
