Let’s be honest: Rose PROBABLY knows Leon would be late because of his lacking a general sense of direction, and he knows by now that there’s nothing he can do about it after working with him for about ten years. It’s a bit hilarious when one considers this. XD
OMG LEON AND JOHN ARE BOTH RIDING ON THE CORVIKNIGHT TOGETHER!!! YESSS!!!!
John is literally down there in the stadium with Leon OMG
AND RAIHAN FINALLY SHOWS UP
THE BATTLE
ALSO GLORIA AND VICTOR GET A CAMEO WHAAATTTTT
Final Comments:
1. I LOVED THIS EPISODE.
I loved seeing all the Gym Leaders (including Opal and Raihan, FINALLY) get a chance to appear in this episode. Sure, they were there to talk about Leon, but I do think it shows a contrast between Leon’s public appearance (powerful, determined, undefeatable) versus how John personally gets to know Leon (kind, lost with directions more than literally, gentle, enthusiastic about Pokemon in how he treats the Corviknight and takes Charizard’s health in consideration on the way to his match with Raihan). Though the episode is brief, it does a lot to give some more depth to Leon’s character.
Also, I love the fact that he admits that he oversleeps on top of everyone just being fine with him being late due to being lost. I doubt even a GPS can help him. XD
I ALSO enjoyed Gloria and Victor having a cameo at the very end when they asked the Corviknight driver for a ride. I also just enjoy how said Corviknight driver is the common thread between all of the episodes and characters, and it makes sense: Everyone in Galar uses Corviknight cabs, so having someone who can easily communicate and be connected through so many people be a common character is pretty cool. One could say that the driver is an audience-surrogate sort of character to an extent, as we do see some of the main events unfold when he’s around (example: Hop reuniting with Wooloo, who happened to be in the cab on the way home when the two found each other). I just think that’s super-neat and super-smart to do. The driver is also the only one featured in every single episode, if I’m not mistaken, cementing him further as the common thread in this series.
2. THE EDITING AND ARTWORK: SUBLIME.
The editing and artwork for this series is amazing, but today’s episode REALLY took the cake. I loved all the scenery when Leon and John were flying to the stadium together, including all the Pokemon passing them by. I also enjoyed the effects and art put into the battle between Leon and Raihan, especially after both of their main Pokemon Dynamaxed. The teams working on this did a really good job, and kudos to them for that and the series as a whole.
3. Is it too much to ask for a season 2 of this?
I know Pokemon: Twilight Wings is its own series separate from canon, like how Pokemon Generations was (different voice actors, storylines, etc.), but if they ever did a Season 2 or something similar to this, I would LOVE to watch it. It’s been a treat seeing this series, and I would love to see more Pokemon anime in this art style, editing and general direction (various one-shot-esque episodes that can be connected together and portrayed through an ensemble of characters’ perspectives). Well done!
He’s trying to get John a ticket to see Leon’s matches? AWWWWWW.
Also, Allister sounds SO CUTE. He’s freaking ADORABLE. (I keep forgetting that he’s the literal youngest Gym Leader ‘cause he’s a literal kid but STILL.)
Also, props to the Ghost Pokemon looking after Allister.
AW NO THE TWO GOT IN A FIGHT
I understand that John may be a lot sicker than he looks and may be hospital-bound for most of his life, as Tommy is implying, but at the same time, don’t crush your friend’s dreams like that O_O
The poor Corviknight driver XD He got totally jumpscared by Allister & Tommy appearing in his cab!
AND THEN IT HAPPENED A SECOND TIME
Poor security guard. He was just trying to do his job when the Ghost Pokemon scared him XD
JOHN AND TOMMY MADE UP! YES!
LEON GOT THE LETTER FROM TOMMY
LEON’S VOICE
Overall Thoughts and/or Theories:
1. Leon is the central character of NEXT EPISODE!
It’s clear that he’s the last one in this series showing up, though John & Tommy appeared an episode earlier than I thought they would again (I previously thought they would only show up in the last episode).
I also wonder if Chairman Rose & Oleana will show up again, given that they both do overlook the whole Pokemon League’s progress. And it looks like Sonia might show up next episode, in some capacity.
2. I loved Allister, Tommy & John this episode.
It seems like it was implied that John just went through surgery during the time Tommy was released from the hospital and trying to get Allister’s help. My main concern is: 1. Does Tommy’s parents even know he snuck out of the house to go find Allister for help? and 2. It’s never said what kind of illness or medical condition John has, but if it requires surgery, it’s probably serious. We’ll likely never know the canonical reason behind it unless the creators themselves say it was this or that type of illness, but still.
Also, Allister was so endearing. The way he interacted with the Ghost Pokemon, as well as helped Tommy reconcile with John, was really sweet. I know John and Tommy both want to be Pokemon trainers, and so they might have to battle Allister at some point, but I do hope they can be pen pals or something like that in the future.
3. Will we see all the Gym Leaders show up at least briefly in the next episode?
Given that this is one of Leon’s matches that next episode could be centered around, given how one of the main plotlines in this miniseries is John trying to see one of Leon’s live matches, it’s possible we’ll see Gym Leaders like Raihan and Opal (both of whom haven’t shown up in this series yet) show up in the next episode. For sure, Leon will be there, and maybe a couple other Gym Leaders we’ve seen so far, but I want to know if the others will show up in at least a cameo capacity if not a full-on speaking role.
What did all of you think of the episode? Who do you want to show up in the next and final episode of Pokemon: Twilight Wings?
I eagerly look forward to watching the last episode! I have a feeling it’ll be fun, for sure!
AND NOW WE HAVE NESSA’S EPISODE FROM POKEMON TWILIGHT WINGS IN ENGLISH DUBBING! YAY!
Reactions and theories below the cut!
Reactions:
I love how Nessa’s life as both a model and trainer are highlighted here.
“You should be like Milotic too, Nessa!” AWWW I STAN A SUPPORTIVE SONIA.
THE MILOTIC IS THE SAME ONE THAT WAS THE FEEBAS THAT NESSA MET AS A KID.
Also, is it just me, or is it hilarious that the modelling crew were more worried about taking photos rather than Nessa’s personal safety when she dove into the water? XD
AAAA JOHN’S LETTER. YOU BETTER GIVE HIM A FREE TICKET TO SEE LEON LIVE, CHAIRMAN ROSE
OLEANNA!
Theories after watching this episode:
1. Oleanna’s getting her own episode!?
I suppose it does make sense, given how she was the last person shown at the end. She’s also had a little bit of her own scenes in the first, second, and this latest episode, so I can see how it builds up to her having her own. I guess Chairman Rose has enough of a presence in all the other episodes so we don’t necessarily need him to have his own episode (especially since he did technically get a good chunk of episode 1 in the spotlight, based off him and John’s interactions and the main plot in episode 1 involving him).
2. Leon will get his own episode, and it’ll be the last one.
Every single episode has Leon involved/appearing briefly in it, including this one! There hasn’t been any bit of dialogue from him in this series so far, which saddens me, but I really, really hope that he gets his own episode.
3. We might get Raihan in the last episode.
Raihan hasn’t been mentioned at all, and given that he’s Leon’s greatest rival (at least until the player beats Leon in the game’s canon), I’m still surprised he hasn’t shown up in some capacity yet. If the last episode is Leon-centric, then it makes sense that his rival might show up...
4. John coming back in Episode 6 to at least watch Leon live feels more cemented now and I hope it happens.
As I mentioned in my Hop & Wooloo reaction/theory post, I think John will come back to see Leon compete, especially if Leon is the main feature of the last episode in this series and if he’s been at least spotted in basically every episode so far. I think this has been strengthened by the fact that 1. Oleanna uncovered John’s note in this episode (the same one John personally gave to Rose in episode 1), and maybe that’ll remind Oleanna that Rose has a promise to keep and therefore John will get to see Leon battle live in the stadium.
I appreciate there being a Wooloo-and-Hop-centric episode for Pokemon: Twilight Wings. And as much it sparked joy, it also sparked a lot of little theories when watching it.

Reactions:
HOP! AND WOOLOO! WE GOT OUR HOP + WOOLOO EPISODE EVERYONE
WOOLOO, SWEETIE, BE CAREFUL
MILO!
Ohmygod Hop look UP. You are LITERALLY just below where Wooloo is!
“WOOLOO, IT HAS TO BE WITH YOU!” (insert sobbing here)
Wooloo: JUMPS OUT OF THE CORVIKNIGHT TAXI DESPITE BEING SO HIGH OFF THE GROUND
Me: O_O
I just really appreciate Hop and Wooloo’s bond. They’re so close with each other. They really care for each other and appreciate each other’s presences.
Also, I LOVE the fact that they’re showing concept art for each episode at the end of each video. It’s a neat way to see the development process.
Theories after watching this episode:
1. The Corviknight taxi driver seems to be the main link between all the episodes so far, and will continue to be the link for the rest of the episodes.
It makes a lot of sense, given that everyone probably uses said service in Galar at some point. Is it coincidental that we have the exact same Corviknight taxi driver for each time? Probably. There’s probably more than just the one guy, realistically, but it’s still fun to see that he specifically gets to have a role in all these episodes. He’s also kind of an audience-surrogate character, too, given that he is kind-of involved yet mostly on the observant side because he’s not deep in the main action.
2. Leon will get his own episode, and it’ll be the last one.
Every single episode has Leon involved in it. We have the first episode where John wants to see him at the tournament live, the second episode where Bea deliberately went training just after her defeat against Leon in a Pokemon battle, and then the third episode has Hop watching one of Leon’s matches as well as how much he looks up to him as his big brother, role model and idol in a way. I think this will all build up to have Leon mainly featured in the last episode because of the heavy involvement.
3. We might get a Raihan-centric episode.
This one is a serious stretch, given how we haven’t seen anything about him so far (not even in episode one where they featured some appearances of the Gym leaders), but hear me out. Raihan is Leon’s greatest rival in Pokemon video game canon (at least until the main protag beats him that is). And as I mentioned in point two, every episode features Leon to an extent. Given that, it would be interesting to see Raihan’s perspective on Leon, and therefore have a Raihan-centric episode come from it.
4. A Chairman Rose episode?
Because Chairman Rose is so linked to Galar, Champion Leon, etc. it would make sense if he has his own episode. He’s already been well-featured in the first two episodes of this series, and I have a feeling he’ll probably come back in an episode or two, if not the last one based on that.
5. The series will come full circle by the last episode by having John return in episode 6, in some capacity.
This is kind-of connected to Theory #2, but if we do get a Leon-centric episode for the last episode, it could be focused on Leon participating in the live tournament, and how he feels being so deeply involved as the Champion of Galar. John could be present in the episode to at least watch him live, and it would be a nice bookend. Also, this means that John gets to see Leon compete live, and I think that would be super-sweet.
6. Nessa will be featured in episode four!
Judging by the little preview at the end of this third episode, it seems that next episode will focus on Nessa. I have no idea how it will go, but I think it will be interesting. Maybe her and Milo will interact, given that Milo showed up in this episode, and it would be a nice way to link episodes with each other further.
Any other theories you have? What did you think of this episode or the past ones? Who do you think might be featured next?
Life isn’t about wishing you were somewhere, or someone that you’re not. Life is about enjoying where you are, loving who you are, and consistently improving both.
My Reactions To “Escape The Night, Season 3 Episode 10/Season 3 Finale:”
It’s been quite a wild ride watching this season and also writing up these reactions, so here are my reactions to the Season 3 Finale, and then I’ll give some overall thoughts on the whole season!
Throwing under the cut due to spoilers!
IT’S THE SOCIETY AGAINST EVIL! XD
Aaaaand they’re dead. Whoop.
So now they have ZOMBIES chasing them??? Oh geez
Okay, so they have to get Lifestones to defeat the Carnival Master! Kind of like how they had to break Seals in Season 2.
NO MATPAT GOT CAPTURED *SCREAMS IN HORROR*
YESSS THEY RESCUED HIM XDDD
NOW’s the time they tell Matpat about Colleen!? GUYS THAT IS NOT GOOD TIMING O_O
Oh my goodness JOEY BE CAREFUL
YAY the triangle is complete! XD
NO DON’T JUST TAKE THE HOOD OFF YET! Follow the sound of your friends’ voices to get back in there >_< *facepalms*
I love how everyone had their turns with the hood and that literally EVERYONE was disoriented with where they were going with it on at some point
Can I also just say how much I love everyone working together in the finale? I always love that XDDD
AYYYY JAEL AND RYU ARE BACK FROM THE DEAD! XD Go slay those zombies!
AND THE CARNIVAL MASTER IS SLAIN! THE TOWN IS SAVED AND JOEY’S BACK TO LIFE!!! XDDDD
This also means Matpat and Nikita are the official “winners” of the season! Yay! XD
Hearing about how Matpat and Nikita miss Ro and Manny is so saddening. It makes me ache for them.
YAY BLANCHE XD
Joey, why are you going back...?
OH MY GOODNESS WHAT. JOEY.
THAT CRYSTAL IS DOING WHAT NOW
JOEY WHAT’S HAPPENING WHY ARE YOU SMILING LIKE THAT!?
AAAAAAAAAAAA
MY OVERALL THOUGHTS ON THE SEASON:
Favourite Episode: Episode 5, “Strong Like A Demon,” mainly ‘cause I found that one the funniest out of all to watch due to everyone’s antics. The jailbreak scene made it really fun, too.
Least Favourite Episode: Episode 3, “Venomous Affections.” I thought the Snake Woman would be a slightly more active threat than just biting Roi (and eventually killing Roi later in the episode) and biting Teala and chasing people. Like, for example, going as far as potentially capturing one of the other contestants temporarily like Jorogumo did in Season 2, so I was slightly underwhelmed when she didn’t.
Funniest Episode: Episode 5, “Strong Like A Demon.”
Scariest Episode: Episode 6, “Twin Dolls.” How was this NOT scary, given everything that happened in it!?
Saddest Episode: Episode 8, “Wicked Witches.” Rosanna’s death was the saddest out of all of them, in my opinion, and that’s what makes it the saddest episode.
Scariest Death: Colleen’s in Episode 6.
Saddest Death: Ro’s in Episode 8.
Most Shocking Death(s): A tie between Safiya and Manny’s deaths in Episodes 7 and 9 respectively. I was NOT expecting the twist in either of those episodes to take place.
Favourite Competitor(s): Matpat and Rosanna Pansino. Manny also became a pretty close favourite of mine to watch, as well as Safiya.
Least Favourite Competitor(s): Uh...none, actually.
Closing thoughts on this season:
1. THEY WROTE A FREAKING SONG SPECIFICALLY FOR THE SHOW AT THE FINALE LIKE WHAAAAT!???
I was NOT expecting that but it seriously added to the very twisty last scene of the finale! I’m sorry that it’s a rather minor point compared to the rest of what I’m about to elaborate on, but I thought it was REALLY FUN and REALLY FITTING for the end of this season. Kudos to whoever created that song!
2. I WAS RIGHT ABOUT ONE OF MY PREDICTED TWO COMING OUT ALIVE!
I previously predicted that Matpat and Ro would win the season, and I was half-right—Ro died, but Matpat escaped the night! Congrats to him and Nikita for making it out! However...
3. I THINK WE MIGHT GET AN ALL-STARS SEASON 4! XD
We saw the faces of many from Seasons 1 and 2 and a few from Season 3 that died in particular—Shane, Lele, DeStorm, Gabbie, Liza, Alex and even Colleen—ending with Liza asking Joey for help through the Crystal.
Sure, that’s only 7 people, but there might have been a few faces left out because 1. There’s only so much screentime they gave to the last scene and 2. They don’t want to fully spoil everyone’s appearances. And the whole last scene with the crystal could be a red herring in the worst case scenario, too.
But I’m thinking—there’s no way they would have had Liza have a special quick dialogue cameo like that at the end if she wasn’t going to end up appearing in next season.
This more confirms for me that there WILL be an All-Stars Season 4. I predict the premise is that Joey is now able to give people the chance to come back to life with the Crystal he got from the now-dead Carnival Master—but those same people have to compete to come back to life, just like he did in Season 3.
4. Why is Joey smiling...?
And not in an “OMG I think I have a chance to seriously make things right!” but more like an “Oooooh more lives to mess with” kind of thing.
I have a feeling whatever Joey does with this new information and the Crystal will be highly plot-integral to Season 4, and I have no idea what to expect from this. Will he potentially turn evil? Will he actually make things right? Who knows?
5. If I’m right about the All-Stars Season 4, here are the people I predict will come back (the first seven listed are the ones featured in the Crystal):
Shane Dawson
Lele Pons
DeStorm Power
Gabbie Hanna
Liza Koshy
Alex Wassabi
Colleen Ballinger
Rosanna Pansino (I think most if not all of us want her back)
Safiya Nygaard (I also think most if not all of us want her back)
Manny Mua (like Lele, he died in the 9th episode of his respective season)
Timothy Delaghetto (like Ro, is perceived by the fandom to accept his death and also died in Episode 8 of his respective season)
Matt Haag (another from Season 1 if they want to have 4 people from each season so far, and also one that caused drama in his respective season along with Lele, Colleen, DeStorm and Alex (though mainly the first three)).
Do you think there will be an All-Stars Season 4 of sorts? If so, who do you think might come back?
Thank you all for reading and liking all these reaction posts I’ve made for Escape the Night Season 3! If Season 4 comes out, I may write a series of reaction posts like these ones. XD
I also may or may not write some more fanfics for this fandom (though the likelihood is that I will at some point). I hope you all look forward to reading those, too!
My Reactions to “The Bright Sessions, Episode 50:”
OH MY GOD IT’S A MUSICAL EPISODE. ROSE CAN SING GUYS
THAT HIGH NOTE THOUGH. ROSE OH MY GOSH
YAY AGENT GREEN
Oh it’s taking place right after episode 49 when nearly everyone fell asleep!
Sam to Mark: “You’re going to want to change the walls every three months, won’t you?”
“Everyone has dream versions of themselves.”
“Is that why you’re two inches taller?”
Mark’s dream is of him, Sam and Joan hanging out and Mark taking photos.
Caleb’s dream has football. Cool :D Poor Rose though XDD
Dr. Bright’s brain is like a...computer of endless thought processes.
IT’S SAM’S SONG. She has her inner doubts about how well her and Mark’s relationship will go and it’s kind of heartbreaking.
“Did you do that? Make her sing?”
“I don’t know...maybe?”
OH MY GOD IT’S ADAM AND CALEB SINGING
NO IT GOT ANGSTY AT THE END
“What were you expecting, Rose!? All humans have their issues!”
I am so so liking how Agent Green is basically being a conscience? Of sorts? for Rose in this episode given she’s in her dreams and dreamwalking?
NOOOO MARRKKKK
NOOO ROSE
SUMMARY OF MY THOUGHTS OF THIS EPISODE:
This made me go on a serious feels trip and I have no idea how to process this entirely. Buttttt we got to hear some excellent singing, with lyrics clearly showing off their inner demons/doubts/conflicts that I think will set up very nicely for the next few episodes.
My favourite song? Rose’s was really good. Same with Mark. Same with Adam and Caleb’s duet as well as Sam’s song and Agent Green’s little reprise...oh darn it, I can’t choose!
Did anyone have a favourite song? I’m curious to know. XD
