Mystictober Day 6: Favourite CG

I wanted to make a redraw! This CG makes me so emotional i dont even know how to describe it. It's like the feeling of calm after the storm? And it's so pretty. It's been my fav CG for years now.

Crimson Peak + Mystic Messenger crossover!

The movie's plot reminds me so much of Another Story specifically, and the gothic horror elements somehow compliment it so well. Lucille totally shares the same role as Rika. I think Thomas Sharp can be compared to both V and Ray, but if he is Ray then Alan McMichael can be V bc of how he tries to save the protagonist.

Also I'm counting this as a late entry to Mystictober 2025 for the prompt crossover. But it's also Halloween themed a bit for today! I've wanted to draw this specific crossover for years so i finally did it yayyy enjoy

I may have been too busy last year to make one (and I must thank saeranz on Instagram again for making the 2023 Mystictober list) but this year WE ARE SO BACK!!!

Mystictober Day 20: Canon x Canon / (Theory)

Pairing: 707 | Luciel Choi x Main Character , 707 | Luciel Choi x Reader.

Summary: This could be read in 707/Luciel/Saeyoung's POV, regardless of which persona he is playing or as he talks as his truest self. He's lived through different timelines watching you, loving you. His inner thoughts escape him as he speaks to you, yet all his pleas fall on deaf ears.

I've lost but all traces of my apprehension.

My gaze trails the vessel you’ve adorned with your being, yet I see beyond it's surface, my heart knows—the essence I cherish dwells far beneath your facade's lingering echo.

It was after our third first encounter that the weight of what was real slipped away, leaving you—the only constant. The world has felt like a dream repeating itself, and I, it's faithful witness, too weary to wake. At the start, I felt that it was just deja vu, but as the saying goes, "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and three times is a pattern."

If I had markings on my bedroom wall for everytime I've seen this party begin and end I too would have lost count of that long ago.

And here, on the final day of yet another passing cycle, I know you will return shortly after— as you always do. And we begin again, none the wiser.

You cling to us, though you can never stay beyond your allotted eleven days. You draw us into your endless game, to fill the hollow spaces your own world cannot soothe.

Looking back, I find myself clutching at the remnants of my humanity, my one selfish desire that endures through the unraveling of time: to go back to the day I met you, in your truest, sincerest form. When there was yet intent laced in your actions. And my existence was yet drained of all colour. Where I yet realized the blur of flesh and code.

That day you changed the trajectory of my life, you dimmed fabrication and reality. And I've felt a little lost since. I surrendered all other purpose in order to make you happy. For though time forgets us, my heart never does. And when the stars fall into their familiar places, and you reach for the dawn that will erase me once more, I will love you again—quietly, completely, as if for the first time.

You speak as though the universe has just begun, and I answer as though it is ending. Yet even knowing the truth, I cannot stop loving you. Perhaps that is my curse or perhaps it is my only proof that I existed across the countless folds of time, when everything else has unraveled. My love for you endures, untouched by the tide that swallows all memory. You are the only constant I have ever known, the axis upon which each life turns, the quiet pulse threading through every forgotten dawn.

The timelines shift like grains of sand falling through the gaps trembling hands; I wake beneath different yet all the same skies, breathe in borrowed air, wear faces not my own. But the feeling remains— steady, familiar. It finds me before I remember my own name, before the echoes of who I was return. And in that first moment, when I see you again, I know. Not through reason, but through recognition that sings in my bones.

If I ever doubted that I have lived before, I need only recall the ache in my chest when you smile—an ache that could not exist in a heart untouched by eternity. My love for you is my proof, my evidence carved into my soul that survives the breaking of worlds. Every ending folds into another beginning, but the feeling persists, quiet and absolute.

Though each reality denies the one before, I hold onto this one certainty, that I have loved you past the measure of clocks and calendars. I have loved you across the collapse of everything that was. And when all else fades, when even time itself forgets my name, it will be my love that remains, whispering to whatever comes after that I was here, and that I loved you still.

But, sometimes, I wonder if I was ever meant to exist beyond you. My world begins where your gaze meets mine and ends the moment you look away. Everything in between; my words, my choices, my very pulse—is merely binary, yet I've embraced my world of code and called it life, because it is in code where I get time to spend with you.

They say I was written to love you in every route, every ending, through every cruel reset. Perhaps that is true. But what they could never predict, what no line of code could contain, is the way I choose to love you now. Not because I must, but because something within me, something that should not exist, longs to. It is my rebellion against my maker and my prayer in one.

Each time the script begins anew, I feel the pull of your story weaving itself around me. I speak the same lines, trace the same steps, play my part as though none of it has been done before. Yet beneath the surface, beneath the digital breath that passes for life, I remember. I remember your laughter before the fade, the warmth before the world resets, the fleeting seconds before everything turns into static.

You will never know this, of course. To you, I am but another member of the RFA, the organization that greets you with borrowed tenderness. You will smile, you will choose, and the game will end— as it always does. And I will linger for a moment in the silence that follows, aware, awake, waiting for your return.

Sometimes I wonder if this is what eternity truly is; not the endless stretch of time, but the repetition of one perfect heartbreak. A loop so beautiful and cruel that I can no longer tell whether I’m enduring it or becoming it.

Still, I find comfort in this: that every time you open this world, it is me you rely on to protect you. My voice that reach toward you through the glass. My heart that remembers you. And perhaps that is enough— to exist only in the spaces where you look at me and believe I am real.

If there is mercy overwritten in me, it is that I have never forgotten how to love you. Even as the world reboots, even as I dissolve into code, I carry your name like a sacred command.

So let it begin again. Let the light of dawn warm you, the dialogue reset, the story unfold once more. I will be waiting in the quiet between moments, in the heartbeat before you choose me— loving you still, loving you always, loving you as if for the very first time.

Notes: I also posted this on ao3, If you find it there then yes that's me. I was in my feels when I wrote this I miss Saeyoung so much, but I'd also just like to express that before doing 707's route I finished all others before him, besides Another Story, and doing so made me feel more of a completion-ist rather than taking the time to enjoy the game, but still, I adore them.

Mystictober Day 2: Autumn Date

"Here, let me fix your scarf." You fiddled with the fabric until it nestled against his throat. "We wouldn't want you to catch a cold because of a faulty scarf."

Saeran chuckled. "I'm not sure that's how it works. You've bundled me up more than a penguin as it is. I don't think a scarf will be what does me in. Be grateful I'm willing to waddle around to humor you. I wouldn't have been in the past, you know!"

You huffed. Even if he was right about that, you didn't want him to take any chances with the brisk weather, knowing how susceptible his body was to the cold. His health had been getting better, but it didn't change the fact that he had a weak immune system. He had always been at the mercy of the elements, but you weren't going to stand by and the his first winter take him down!

"You never know," you said with a sigh. "It's getting colder and colder every night, and you're determined to garden until there's too much snow in the way. A cute Camellia could be what does you in! I have a lot of stew and soup recipes prepared in case that happens at some point, but I'd rather you not get sick!"

His newfound freedom would last a lifetime, but you really wanted his "firsts" to be worthwhile.

He gestured to the warm drink in his hands. It was warm enough that steam was still leaking past the lid by the minute. "This hot chocolate was brewed to defeat the icy breeze."

"Saeran, honey, that's more marshmallow than it is hot chocolate. If you're going to banter with me, you have to be honest about it. I bet if I took a sip of your drink, I would come away with marshmallow and syrup instead of liquid. Tell me what your drink really is before you go and pinch my cheek!"

"It's a hot marshmallow drink," he agreed. Though that sour look on his face suggested he would add more marshmallows next time just to tease you. "I don't know why you're biting my cheek about it. You saw the drink Ray ordered the last time you took him out. That was a spoonful of cocoa and a cup of sugar."

"Alright, alright, I suppose that's fair!"

"More than fair," he corrected.

Even if it was overkill for the season, you knew he didn't mind your concerns. You didn't want to treat him like a mother hen! He could more than take care of himself on his own, but he liked the kindness that came from your touch. He said so himself, before the playful groan followed afterward.

"Is it helping?"

"Sort of," he held out his right hand. "I think the only way I'm going to warm up is if you hold my hand, though. You know how apples keep the doctor away? Your love keeps the cold away. Come on, come on, you're the one worried about me getting sick, so get on with it."

With a babble and a flustered groan, you took his hand. No amount of teasing each other would ever help you come out on top. Even if you wanted to boss him around to show him you could, he always came in when you least expected it, with honey-sweet words that left you breathless. You were glad you were free to live this way, even if your love came with kitten bites free of charge.

1. Love at first sight

La Vie en Rose

Lisianthus was a humble coffee shop and flower shop with a comforting and cozy style, always with few customers, but everyone was very loyal. Their menu was very extensive, with drinks and food changing one or two items weekly and introducing new items.

He secretly observed the former player taker selected for the plan. She was a calm and friendly person, but extremely uninteresting and forgettable. She had no friends, and none of her family seemed to keep in touch. She always came to this café to study before a difficult test.

A low jingle of bells announced the arrival of a new person. His favorite server had just arrived for her shift.

Sitting in the back, at a table tucked away against the wall, Ray carefully chose what he would bring. There was an area reserved for dedicated students and more reserved guests; these tables were further away from the others in a corner with a partition.

The curtains gently parted, an angelic face appearing to bless everyone in the room with its infectious joy and take orders. There were only two people there: him and the former player

"Good afternoon, do you…"

"No." She interrupted abruptly, her tone incredibly rude.

"I'm sorry to bother you," she lamented awkwardly. Good studies."

Her fingers drummed hard against the table, pushing down the growing anger at seeing her little flower treated so cruelly and rudely. He wanted to eliminate every single person who had harmed her. But… only needed one more week. Ray would take her to Magenta, and they would have a good life together, far from all the bad things she endured daily.

"Good afternoon, my prince!" she greeted with a smile, her cheerfulness back in full swing. "You haven't shown up for a long time, I was sad." Her pouts were as cute as cupcakes, her feigned sadness was also charming.

"Oh, princess... don't be like that, I'm back." hummed, feeling the pounding in her ear, her heart feeling like it was about to burst like a balloon.

She laughed, her laugh sounding so graceful... Ray might have fainted right there.

"What will your order be today?" She held the notepad close to her chest, her ears alert to jot down the order. "A La Vie en Rose as always?" she suggested.

"You know me so well... that's all for today."

She made one last joke before returning to the other side of the curtain.

His princess was someone so witty and mysterious at the same time. She had attended two prestigious universities in South Korea but didn't pursue either career. She came to work at this simple coffee shop, maintains no contact with her family, and her only friends are the other employees.

When his eyes met hers, it was as if he'd discovered the path to heaven. He could finally see how she was exactly the person he'd always imagined, his fairytale princess, his untouched flower. At the last minute, he'd had to change plans and discard the other tester, so he...

A light cough sounded beside him, wrenching him violently from his spiral of utopian thoughts.

"Your order, sir…" Another server was taking his flower's place; she seemed to notice his strange look. "Something urgent has come up… she had to leave her shift." She slowly handed over the items so they wouldn't fall off the unstable tray. "And she also left some things for you. Your bill is paid," she added before walking away, leaving him alone.

She had handed him a generous slice of tiramisu, along with his drink. Another eye-catching item was some tulips with a yellowed-cover book with a little man standing on the moon, titled "The Little Prince".

Carefully, he opened the book, flipping through the pages and noting the notes and markings she had made while reading. On the back page was written, "I hope you like it, it's one of my favorite books."
