For the Dean and Amara storyline I just want it to be more detailed, more specific. I want them to make clear the consequences of their bond, what it means for Dean, so it will amp up the tension. I hope they reveal more in the next episode, but unless they plan to keep her till next season I'm afraid that she'll be dead two eps later and it'll all be over.

The Mark looks like an ancient symbol denoting existence and creation. Dean as the Virgin Mary. Amara is a creation God.

My thoughts have adjusted since yesterday. I have a feeling things are not what they seem. The archaic Hebrew symbol that looks like the Mark also is the sign for creation. Given Wednesday's (WFB) attention to visual subtext about woman and birth as welong as subjugation by men... And of course Amara's dialogue last night, it's looking like the Supernatural God stole creation from her or used her in the act of creation, then locked her away. We don’t know anything about the absent God. We don’t even know if he was the one helping. I don't think it's going to play out in the traditional big bad scenario.

true, but then we've been burnt before by the writers, and after season 5 and season 8 it's easy to think the worst.

yeah, i understand. 

it’s just tiring because this happens each and every finale. someone starts a rumour that such-and-such is going to happen and everybody’s suddenly in a state of panic.
