Okay so noblesse visual novel has been on my mind since last year when I made a text choose ur adventure type game w frankenstein n Rai wherein player has to keep Rai from dying by finding the tears of god(Player gets rais quest but with higher stakes) Anyways .. the starting screen!! Its very rushed bc idgaf abt gui atm but I wanted something to work with. Drawing on ms paint is surprisingly fun bc of the brushes, Rai is drawn w the new ms paint, Frankenstein on my reg

The story takes place pre canon, probably 100~ years after Franken met Rai. Rai’s heath for whatever reason(there is one) has been getting a lot worse. You as the player(frankenstein) have to save Rai. Depending on choices (and my will to write certain endings) Rai will die(Rai suffers regardless of route but its Rai so i’ll be nice to him) or Frankenstein will die, or !!! Neither of them die and they live happily ever after until Muzaka (1/? endings)

The ending makes sense but its a veryy ooc ending because the routes name is feverfew… fever... fever dream aha get it.. Idk if I can change the interface of the whole game specifically for the route but all the bgs and sprites I def can 😋 ( from madness to love core)

The routes names are Belladonna, European black nightshade, and Feverfew. You can def see where this is going. Belldonna is the story heavy route with 3 main endings, Ebn is also story heavy but you can fight nobles(yay!) and Feverfew is a fever dream.

The fighting elements I wanna integrate like gen 1 pokemon. You enter a fight scene and boom pixel Frankenstein and pixel whoever hes fighting. The basic Fight mechanic I dont think is that hard? Set a variable to Hp for x character, then -x amount of based on what happens. Loop until one dies? Something like that.. Havent made that yet

Gejutel, Rask and Edian r major supporting characters. Lagus, Darkspear and Rai(potentially) r antags depending on the route

The game name ‘moon flower’s paroxysm’ references the plot, the plot is evil. Paroxysm of what? of angst. Its that or ‘noblesse fangame’ LMAO Anyways so the traitors <3 I can’t wait to get to writing them. Lagus and Edian are the most relevanttt and are the two I def have to make sprites for. The others idk, maybe you can fight every one which then leads to a bad end idk thatd be fun but also a lot of work..This is suppose to be shorttt soo

I can’t read the next three chapters due to how busy I am and it is killing me.. very excited to read to say the least !! its eating me alive(≧∇≦) heh anyways the animation is still a wip i think like 50 more key frames, 4 sections, but I realized its almost been a year since ive started drawing this so…. hopefully ill finish this soon ♪( ´▽｀) Ive been wanting to yap abt certain frames so,,

Originally the plan was to start when Raizel says “Do you think,” But the two lines before hand made him more intimidating, and Rai’s contemplation of his past, and how it’s currently affecting Frankenstein can be felt, so I drew them in. Rather than it being drawn in Rai’s pov it’s drawn from the ‘common’ nobles who would’ve heard of the Noblesse, as I felt that Rai’s recollection felt to be in a more third person pov rather than Rai breaking down how he felt.

The red representing his power among other things.

Through the next couple lines Rai clearly feels guilt at what he believes is his fault hes so serious (ｰｰ;) “For murder so minuscule?” Rai imo feels like hes the worse of the two and that Frankens spiral is partly/entiriely his fault & the animosity directed to Frankenstein from the nobles. Thiss is what I think his main reason for trying to sever franken is.

“he comes forth, closing the space entirely” - Was incredibly nervous for frankenstein here cant wait to draw the scene out o(^▽^)o

This is meant to be be garth., He was great icon love him, hes grown on me. His death was brutal, very cool. This is between “for murder so miniscule” because.. well Frankenstein kills prasis later. These frames still needs some lettering added to it (like the first couple frames) before theyre finished,, They’re red + sketchy because of the intensity,, and theres so much blue already,, Rerendered one of the frames because seriously frankenstein looks good with warm lighting

The line “loathe” goes to chapter 8

Back in the cave! One of the most atmospheric chapters it was great with frankenstein wanting to prove himself worthy of Raizel, and then chasing that lady (i cannot remember her name💔) Rai getting lost peak i fear. The rest of this bit (Frankenstein asking about heath) shows up near the end of the animation but hasnt been drawn past a sketch,, along w chapter four which

His feelings hopefully will be conveyed through his expressions & colour. He wouldn’t be as expressive because he’s trying hard to hide whatever it is that hes feeling,, but It’s rai pov & rais seeing past his facade regardless of how hard franken tries to hide..

Chapter four was such a treat to read! Rai worrying frankenstein would leave him, run. That rai would never be able to find frankenstein ever again. Rais guilt at having indirectly injured frankenstein (Maybe he felt worse because that only happened because rai didn’t trust in him in that moment, which lead him to opening the bond to find franken..) Frankenstein swallowing his pride.. and him saying , "…You knew I was coming back, before, right?"

They are misunderstanding galore and it’s so entertaining to watch

Onto an unrelated note, the foreshadowing is really good, every reread I find something else that def tied into another thing chapters later its amazing o(≧▽≦)o
