So I'm Dragonkin, with feathered wings/tail end, a line of fluff down my spine, backswept horns from my forehead, and pearly white, snake-like scales, with a turquoise iridescence. I get nutrients from sunlight, getting water from large clouds through slits in my neck.
Before, I would soar through the skies, setting foot on solid ground on clear days, where I would find items which were "shiny" in some way. This usually meant minerals like rock quartz, amethyst, and rose quartz, but it could also mean stuff like chunks of granite, seashells, abandoned pieces of scrap metal, and the occasional discarded glass bottle.
I couldn't carry much weight, in flight or otherwise, but I would still take the occasional shiny back to a high-up cave, where I would also shelter creatures I'd found who needed help. I found another dragon named Iceflame that way, who ended up staying near my home, keeping an eye on it while I was gone.
There would be a burglar from time to time, almost always while I wasn't home, but my home was difficult to get to without wings, and the vast majority of my shinies were monetarily worthless. That or they would sell for so little that thieves rarely saw the endeavor as worthwhile- especially once Iceflame came into the picture.
While I was largely animalistic in mind, I liked to watch other races from afar, especially those who did things like forge metal, dye fiber, and dry flowers. I would eventually become enamored with fire, which led me to entering a magical sleep, living a distant, human life so I could better understand who they were, their friendships and creativity.
That is, in fact, why I am a Dragon Therian, rather than just dancing in the wind as I remember.
