i only just got around to watching ivory's finale video (lore) and by jove does it deliver

there's always something about self-fulfilling prophecies and master oogway's quote (yes i'll quote kung fu panda, banger series) of "one often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it" like this is inherently a tragedy. the choices the characters made led them to their downfall, inevitable or not, and that's devastating but also beautiful in its narrative. they have unknowingly dug their own grave and are lying in it, decaying and forgotten

in other words, go ivory, you tragic little character you
