Anthony had to admit the entire situation was pretty amusing. It wasn’t often he got punched in the face by someone he was trying to help after all. Of course it wasn’t much of a leap as to why. He wasn’t the biggest fan of the hospital either but there were times when it was a necessity. “Nah, barely felt a thing. I’ve been hit harder by guys half your size, sweetheart. Don’t worry too much about it.”

At least the guy seemed to be doing alright. That had been the entire reason he’d stuck around in the first place. Plus his curiosity had been piqued by the entire thing. He looked the guy over for a moment, lifting an eyebrow. “What happened to you, anyway? Must have pissed someone off to end up in the state you were in.”

Ezra was beyond overjoyed to have Karter back with him after a relatively long trip, and while he did understand why he was gone... it didn’t stop the worry from being there. The temptation to hack into some kind of satellite was very strong... but he knew not only did that have major repercussions on it, but it was a massive violation of privacy. He could easily keep that small nagging need at bay, simply content to have Karter here at his side, even if they hadn’t quite put a label on their relationship. He was genuinely beyond tempted to just take his hand right then and there, a flush beginning to creep up from his neck as he reached to do just that... 

Only to freeze. His expression growing far more intense, Ezra’s eyes darted around before jogging a couple steps to catch up to Karter, putting his hand at the man’s lower back protectively. “...C’mon,” he urged, trying to steer Karter from the scent that he had become aware of, the fine hairs at the back of his neck standing on end...

♛ Dimitri was waiting at the cross signal and wasn’t planning to leave. He was meeting up with Aspen and they were going to try to have another driving lesson, not that he expected it to go well. With a sigh he looked up to the person who approached him with a pinched smile, “Can I help you?”

It genuinely was a beautiful day out, something of a rarity during this time of the year, but you wouldn’t be finding Emma complaining about it in the slightest. Pair that together with the fact that she had the day off and their friend Karter was around for a visit after being gone for who knows how long? Well it was the perfect excuse to take advantage of the weather, inviting him out to Central Park for a walk... and once they got hungry? Find a kiosk of course! 

“-it really was just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen... I’m really glad that they were able to do it, you know?” she mused, having been telling Karter about one of the events that had happened oriented around children. Up ahead on the other side of the street from where they walked, a crane was hoisting up a large bundle of metal beams, though Emma didn’t pay them nay mind.

  Carrying coins in her purse is a nuisance in general but to make matters worse, when she actually needs them they’re nowhere to be found. As she looks back up at the vending machine she sighs and then goes back to searching.

Rapunzel walked up the pathway, a freshly baked pie in her hands; she knocked on the door once she got to it and waited for it to open.  “Hi!  I’m sorry if I’m intruding, but I just wanted to say Welcome to the neighborhood!”
