I've been listening to Stories from Styx and Hadestown and did some quick sketches of Rusame Hades and Persephone AU for Mythtalia March.

I'm not sure if I'm entirely happy with these, but since it's the end of March, I might as well post it anyway.

Want to depict Hetalia characters as gods, goddesses, monsters, or other mythological figures? Then this event is for you!

You can put them in the roles of specific characters (e.g. Hades, Anubis, Ameterasu, Medusa, Odysseus) or you can depict them as a mythological creature in general (e.g. centaur, kitsune, rusalka). Ships are welcome, too.

Some things Alfred and Apollo have in common based on myths + my perception of Alfred:

-Apollo is considered to be a beautiful god and is represented as the ideal of beardless athletic youth from about 18 to 20 years physically. America fits that description.

-associated with medicine

-associated with music and dancing, play stringed instruments

-a protector, can be heroic, tries to help people

-cares a lot about those close to him

-one of the most prominent gods/nations

-Apollo's archenemy is Python, America hates snakes

-has a twin (Artemis/Canada)

-lover of horses

-experienced with shooting (one shoots arrows, the other shoots bullets)

-likes kids

-could be described as bright, brilliant, ambitious

-bi

-Apollo and Alfred are both six letter names starting with A 😆

-life of the party

-competitive, wants to be the best

-could be described as petty or impulsive

-likes to be doted upon

-willing to be submissive with their lovers 👀

-the connection between Alfred, his love of space and the moon, and NASA's Apollo 11 mission to walk on the moon

Day 4 (May 11th) ~ Greek mythology / Goddesses (nyo!engport)

Among Creation, there were us

A little explanation about this one! because it took me a lot of research XD.

They are Britannia and Lusitania, goddesses of the land.

I looked for a greek femenine pose which simbolized union above all. For England, I took the real avatar of the country, Britannia, which has a resemblance to Athena. I changed some things and colors, and added celtic simbols and Pict tattoos, to relate her with her ancestors.

For Portugal, I mixed more things: the Seas relationship she has since forever and because her mother, that's why the aquamarine colors. Her crown is made of fish tails and metal anchor; color are silverish related to the moon element. Then, I included my HC that one of her shapes is a marine dragon; that's why she is a mermaid (and we're en May so I've got that prompt too )?. Lavender dress for the national flower, and finally she has grapes as jewelry for her relationship with Dionisus, taken from the myth idea that Lusus, the ancient god - and founder of Portugal's land before Rome, was a son/lover of his (and the sexier part too).

This is just a wip. The pose is still too stiff for me, but yeah. Going to take a break from it to do some other things, so hopefully I posted a completely finished version of this some other time.

Got any headcannons for Turkey?

I actually do! Get ready for one werewolf please then. 1. Very, very, very distantly related to the first Werewolf Romolus. But HELL if you think he wouldnt still be proud of it. 2. If it comes to finding a mate, he is rather picky after is last one died, and still pretty distant on that matter. Just has some casual partners from time to time. 3. Thought himself up to the Alpha of his pack and is a good boss. He cares about his group. Werewolf daddy TM. 4. Good pal. Hell, even in full moon as a wolf he is nearly harmless. You dont bother him, he wont bother you, and he doesnt see free cuddles as bother. He knows his fur is cuddlable. 5. If it comes to his fur, thick and dark brown. Very cuddable. Like cuddle him, please. Just do it. Literal sofite. 6. Not the type to mind any race mixing, pretty much in favour of it. Also very child friendly and always happy to see some mixed kids happily playing along, no matter if their parents wouldnt get along naturaly or not.7. Take him serious and get ready though if you ever touch his pack. DONT. Just do not do it, trust me. Despite everything he is still a wolf and a tough one at that. 8. Same counts for Heracles. Do not touch him, even if Heracles will see him as eternal rival despite their familial connection. Touch any of his family, no matter if THEY like him or not, and you will regret it easily. 9. Befriended a quiet, Sphinx like creature and lets his pack live and stay near his hideout. Though his interest is not mutual yet, he cares just as much again. 10. Overall rating? Good boy. Protective boy, but good boy.
