My VI Peel
Day 6 and 7.
Day 6.
Half of the week had gone by and my skin was really transforming! In the morning I noticed most of my face had finished peeling. A lot of the peeling now was on my neck and chest area. This part of my body was more sensitive than my face. My clothes and bedding were causing irritation to the area by rubbing against it turning it reddish. Although the skin was irritated there was no discomfort. I continued my daily routine of Post Peel Protectant and SPF 50+ all over my face, neck and chest.
After my work day I headed home. Feeling a bit under the weather I went to bed early, but not without washing my face first. As someone who has gotten lazy with my skin care routine I am relearning the importance of good routines and practices. I washed my face, neck and chest area with my VI Derm Cleanser. After patting myself dry I could see a lot of my dead skin had peeled off and a new glow coming from my face. For a second night I felt a tightness in my face so I applied the Post Peel Protectant and hit the hay.
Day 6 with Post Peel Protectant and SPF 50+
Day 7.**
Thursday came and I was almost completely done peeling. I had some minor peeling on my face, neck and chest area but it was very minimal. When I was getting ready I could see a definite glow coming from my skin. I could not believe what I was seeing. This glow is an effect that I would normally achieve with a highlighter, makeup. Before heading out for the day I applied the Post Peel Protectant and SPF 50+.
Throughout the day I had no irritation nor discomfort. I could not wait for the day to be over so I could go home and wash my face to see even more improvements. So lets fast forward to my night skincare routine. I washed my face with my beloved VI Derm Cleanser, patted my face dry and inspected my face. The texture of my skin not only looked better, but it felt better! I had smooth, and in my opinion flawless skin. I was thrilled to see such great improvements and in just 7 days! I would say another great day with the VI Peel with more improvements to come!

**Day 1 with the VI Peel is the first day you get the VI Peel applied. Day 7 is not one calendar week with the treatment. Day 8 is one complete calendar week**

My VI Peel
Day 1.
As someone who just turned 23 I thought to myself, how did I get to 23 so fast ? Time is something that escapes us without notice. If we are not proactive about taking care of our skin and body as we age we are going to start seeing changes that are very noticeable.
When I was a teenager I had your typical hormonal acne. I tried everything and nothing but time cleared up my skin. Now in my 20s my skin was nearly a stranger to breakouts, but I could still see the damage acne had left behind. My skin had been through a lot from my acne days leaving me with hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores and some textural problems. It dawned on me that just because I had bad skin in the past does not mean I would have to live with the reminders of it. I decided to get back out there and try to do more for my skin.
On December 12, 2014 I received my first VI Peel. Not only would the VI Peel help with all of my post acne concerns it would help rejuvenate my skin and act as preventative measure of aging! I have never done something like this before so naturally I was a bit apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised that the peel caused no pain, there was a tingly sensation but that's it! The VI Peel had a great smell and was super easy. I had the pleasure of it being done by an aesthetician, Shannon Medlock, all I had to do was sit back and relax. The entire process lasted no more than 15 minutes. After I was done I was given my take home kit, which included 3 towelettes, the Post Peel Protectant and a SPF 50+.
Highlighted areas of concern
Areas of concern: Pigmentation, blackheads, texture and enlarged pores
Before my VI Peel.
After waiting 5 hours I washed off my peel using the VI Derm Cleanser that I was introduced to. After cleansing my face I used the towelette all over my face and neck area. The towelette had a strong smell but no discomfort. Once my face was dry I proceeded with my normal makeup routine. My makeup application was easy and I could see a glow coming from my skin.
The VI Peel does not start to peel until about day 3 and with that information in mind I went out to a concert. The venue was packed and got hot which led to my skin starting to itch around my jawline, nothing major though. There was nothing about my skin or the peel that restricted me from going out and enjoying life and that is a definite plus!
After washing off the VI Peel and after applying makeup.
After my night out. I proceeded to follow the directions instructed to me in my Take Home Kit. I removed all of my makeup, washed my face with the VI Derm Cleanser and applied the towelette. Overall a great first day experience with the VI Peel.
Stay tuned for Day 2!
