a little about my Xmas

 I begin decorating and it’s usually a long devastating process of cleaning the entire apartment twice, while I pretend to be cheery. My family’s small - just me and Dad and he hardly has the energy or patience to follow a trivial manner such as decorating. This year our family grew a little larger - we’ve got a cat named Mister. Everything’s chaos, just like every year, in addition the cat isn’t helping at all. But somewhere along the way, just seconds after Buble starts singing ‘’It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’’ and then minutes later when Kelly Clarkson makes a list of her favorite xmas things, do I realize that I absolutely love this holiday. Exhausted, I find a way to cook myself a nice meal and I start doing all the traditional stuff. In my sense of the word "traditional" of course. I drink specific tea every year with cinnamon and chocolate, I put a playlist with cheery songs, I read O’Henry’s short stories. I’m in my snowflake pjs and socks. It’s festive. Maybe i should put on a Doctor Who Christmas special and pretend it’s snowing outside (when it’s not). Last Christmas I even got my miracle. Who knows what will happen this year? Ginger cookie, anyone?
