This is the first shape created for the N16 concept project. Designed to be smaller and easier to assemble than the classic paper imagination dollhouse. From this base, a tall townhouse style design developed.

This is the first shape created for the N16 concept project. Designed to be smaller and easier to assemble than the classic paper imagination dollhouse. From this base, a tall townhouse style design developed.
Experimental stage: testing out different heights, proportions and details (e.g. windows & doors) to select the most visually pleasing combination for the final product.
This rooftop and balcony combination was found during creative research. It was implemented immediately into the final design for the dollhouse. It adds an element of fun and detail. This is also how the project gained the name ‘N16 Concept’ - to reflect the London postcode.
The inspiration for the roof design came from the streets of London and gave a clear direction to the project.
