🎃 NINE IN CAT EARS
the real perpetrator of the BOOPS
❛ watch out! ❜
"Watch out for - !"
She's quick to notice the strange being after his warning, swift to duck behind the wall just in time to miss being shot by - was that. . .some sort of blaster?!
Why does she feel as though she's suddenly in a sci-fi film?
"What the hell is going on?!"

❛ do you believe in witchcraft , sir ? ❜ i was so tired. every single inch of me longed to disappear into the woods again , to bury myself amidst the magically infused soil & listen to the whispering deities among the trees. perhaps i was a witch in my own right , only pretending to be a servant of god ; a priest among my fellow parish yet with magic bubbling beneath the confines of my skin. i could see things others could not , like halos of color radiating around the bodies of others , telling me their moods or intentions. this man's halo was bizarre , nothing but a blinding light of gold , one i had to squint my eyes against in case it decided to blind me.
❛ if you do .. be cautious where you go. i fear witchcraft is on the mind of many here , & newcomers aren't exactly well received. ❜ even residents were being judged , myself included. i needed to leave , to get out before i was discovered , before i too was convicted of the very thing i practiced. i studied the man across from me for a long moment , letting my eyes flicker past his to examine his aura briefly again , before ducking my chin & folding my arms across my narrow chest. i wondered if he came by ship , if i could convince him to take me somewhere else before tensions imploded & i was left to the mercy of others.

☾ ─── ⋆ ❛ the whole town is called halloween ? ❜ it wasn't cold , but it wasn't exactly warm either. it was just right. that middle season temperature - ellie wondered if it was like this every day of the year. ❛ what there's a town called christmas too ? ❜
☾ ─── ⋆ @n1nth : liked for a starter
─── ⋆ CHANG'E TRIED TO SUMMARIZE HER SITUATION. To the best of her abilities anyway. "Thank you, Doctor. Even if there was a way to return from where I cam, I'll have to decline. I ran from everything I knew. I don't think I can call it home anymore." She stopped to draw a long breath. "Do you think that's a cowardly thing of me to do?"
( @n1nth )
well, that complicates things just a bit. 「 STARTER PROMPT FROM ( here ) — @n1nth 」
─── ⋆ A BIT NORTHERN, HUH? Clara's lips pulled back into a smile wider than her face could hold. "Hang on," she said. Wonderment caused her eyes to widen before any of the "what if's" and logistics settled in. "So you remember seeing me before, yeah?" Victorian times and phantasmal forces. That was one of the splinter lives that she recalled more easily. Made for a great entry in her life book. As for this very moment, either this would become another great entry or crumble her whole book altogether.
“It was my fault. It was all my fault.”
"nothing's your fault." a pause. "oh, that's a lie. plenty's your fault. i'm pretty sure you're the cause of at least seventeen international incidents." she clears her throat. "it's in the files. obviously. read all of them when i got here. this isn't your fault, though. you don't get to be at fault for everything by just existing. who do you think you are, my mother?"
“No, I’m okay, I just… I hit my head. Really hard. I’ll be okay, just give me a second.”
"you look like you've hit your head. no offense."
there's definitely offense in that statement, albeit lighthearted. donna crouches, eyebrows raised, waiting.
"did you hit your head hard enough for your brain to start leaking out of your ears, by any chance? 'cause i'd hate for that to happen. i don't know what to do with a time lord's brain leaking out of his ears."
