Somebody's Been Watching! [A Good Man Goes to War]

CHIKARA returns to Chicago, IL at the end of October with a double header on the 28th! The first match has been signed for their return.,

The tag team of N_R_G debuted in the Summer of 2014 for Wrestling is Fun!, CHIKARA’s now defunct sister organization. They would make their official CHIKARA debut during King of Trios 2014 weekend in the Tag Team Gauntlet. In a year’s time, they would challenge for Los Campeonatos de Parejas twice, winning the titles on their second try against the Devastation Corporation in Norfolk, VA. The pair unceremoniously lost the titles in July 2016 when Los Ice Creams cashed in one of their Golden Opporunities. Even though the result was overturned, the titles were vacated, and that was the beginning of the end for the team. Over the next few months, friendly fire would occur between the team, and at times Jaxon would become so frustrated he would leave the match and not return he had cooled down. 

Eventually, Jaxon had enough. During a match with sonny Defarge and Cornelius Crummels at “Left Behind”, Jaxon bailed on Rockwell and shoved a large portion of the entrance set in the Wrestle Factory on Rockwell, knocking him out cold and having the fans question if he would ever return. Jaxon would go on to try his luck in singles competition, even challenging UltraMantis Black for the Grand Championship. Starting at “The Eleventh Hour”, a strange video with clips of Hype Rockwell would begin to play during Jaxon’s matches, throwing him off his game. Jaxon insisted Rockwell was gone, but Hype would show up unannounced during Jaxon’s match with Sylverhawk at “Chikarasaurus Rex: Flesh and Stone” and wipe him out with his Hyperwheel finisher. A month later, Rockwell would officially return to the roster with a win at the Hour of Power.

Nearly a year after Jaxon crushed him with the entrance set, Rockwell will finally face his tag team partner in singles competition in Chicago. It may be hard for Rockwell to get the type of revenge that could make them even, but given Jaxon has 2 points in his back pocket, costing him a Grand Championship opportunity would be a blow to the former Generator. Will Hype give Jaxon the beating he deserves, or can Jaxon escape with a title shot in tow?

Two more matches have been added to National Pro Wrestling Day!

The first sees a rare singles match from Race Jaxon of N_R_G as he takes on Missile Assault Man. Jaxon and his partner Hype Rockwell have been on the mend as of late, with Jaxon abandoning Rockwell on multiple occasions. We’ll see if he can handle Missile Assault Man, who had a heck of a showing in the Cibernetico, on his own. 

The battle between the Colony and heXed Men (now calling themselves the Legion of Rot) continues. With Soldier Ant retiring, the Colony finds themselves back as a trio, and they will do battle with the current Grand Champion Hallowicked, Frightmare, and Kobald in Philadelphia. The post-credit clip from “Supremacy” leads us to believe that the ThunderFrog smashed the Eye of Tyr. What would that mean for the Legion of Rot who were hexed by that very artifact? Will they be the same competitors in Season 17 that we saw in Season 16?

Announce several all-female teams, get the natives restless wondering if it’d be an all-female KOT this year or if some guys would be announced, then actually have some announced...and have it be these two schmucks, along with Heidi. Neat trick, that. If I could, I’d award all three members of the team that knocks this one out of the running an automatic three points towards a CdP shot with any partner of their choosing. It’d at least get something going over there, plus there’d likely be a title change.
