Alright boys, this tumblr blog ain’t just your average news coverage on the LCS Worlds tournament. So you’re new to the game and you’re watching this tournament, but you can’t help but ask yourself “what the **** is going on here?” Well you guys aren’t alone. It sometimes takes even top players a few moments to understand what just happened. Let me tell you guys what we’re all about. We are going to help you understand the game by using examples from this tournament. A quick search on Google can easily tell you how to play the characters and how to press the buttons, but can you win games? 

League of Legends is a TEAM game. This tournament wouldn’t even be happening if it wasn’t a team game. Winning is most important because if you’re losing then be prepared to get trash talked by your own teammate who is doing the worst on the team. This is what we are here for, we will take specific plays performed by top players and teams and slow it down for you and explain why they did so. It’s one thing to know what keys to press, but do you know how to incorporate it to your style to help win the game. 

It’s not just plays but also strategies. What makes each team so cunning and efficient. SKT for example can be described as a democracy because each player on the team is skilled enough to carry the team on their own. So they’re individual performance respectively already gives their team an advantage. On the other hand we have TSM, and they can be described as a monarchy team. Bjergsen, the mid-laner of the team is without a doubt the one to carry his team to the promise land. TSM built their team around Bjergsen and getting him in position to do major damage. Faker of SKT may have the title of best in the world, however Bjergsen isn’t too far behind.

At this point you might question my credibility. Well to be honest at one point I was stuck in bronze hell. But I finally worked my way all the way up to bronze hell 2.0, which also happens to be gold. A glorified bronze if you should say. Let me tell you something, the toxicity is still there. GG

That...has to be so fucking demoralizing for C9. Like, that was such a one-sided stomp, I’m kinda stunned. 

Jesus fucking christ. Hauntzer totally shit on Ray, Turtle and Biofrost RUINED Sneaky and Smoothie when everyone thought it would be the other way around, and Bjergsen was Bjergsen. Those Taliyah walls, wow. 

And Sven on Ivern was super important too, like, that entire team comp just worked BEAUTIFULLY together and C9 just...crumbled.

TSM vs C9 finals spring 2017

I loved this series it showed just how entertaining professional League of Legends can be. Every lane match up super even, but in my opinion the differences in teams came from their junglers Sven completely out classed Contractz. Games 1 and 2 came to surprise to me I thought that the games would be close all the way throughout but the first two games were complete stomps. Even the casters were surprised that TSM’s bot lane won their lane so hard when they thought that the biggest advantage that they had. I think it was interesting how this series showed how that a 6 man roster can really make a team stronger. With Ray playing carries better than Impact and Impact better on tanks. It made C9′s draft completely different whenever they changed their top laners. Giving Ray top lane last pick being able to counter his lane and vice versa with Impact letting C9 get a more traditional team comp with having a tank in their top lane and leaving mid lane to counter pick. 

Game 5 

I think think game was extremely fun a complete blood bath with plays being made everywhere. It showed what each team prioritized and what they thought would give them the best chance to win. C9 picked their strongest bot lane with Lucican and Lulu. While TSM picked their strongest mid and jungle with Syndra and Lee Sin, but Jensen still got the counter pick with his Ekko. I think the smartest pick in the draft was the was the Nami to give TSM a safe enough bot lane to make it out of lane vs Lucian Lulu. People might call this game “sloppy” but i think a lot of is it just showing how comfortable most of these player are on stage. They have thousands of fans cheering for them and wanting them to win or lose but they have to focus on one of the most important games of their lives. That’s a lot of stress. Proof in the Jensen Video when he gets killed in the last fight. I think that is one reason why Sven preformed so much better than Contractz since he has been in the pro scene for so much longer compared to a rookie. I think this game showed how important is to stay as a team in League, you could say that this whole game was on Jensen for dying so early in the final team fight and not using his ult or his Hourglass, but if you blame the game on him for one mistake then you can blame the whole team because everyone made mistakes. I’m sure nobody on C9 blames Jensen for the loss, but the community will still be so upset with him. also can we see how much TSM’s shotcalling improved over the split. At the start of the split they everyone was calling for doublelift to come back because they needed a shotcaller back. As you can see from the Elder Dragon call and decisive call to turn and take the fight vs a Baroned up C9 but they knew they could take the fight. To wrap things up I think Sven was the main reason for TSM’s win with Hauntzer a close number 2
