I know some of my mutuals are reading/thinking about reading the The Witcher novels. So spoilers under the cut.

I am shocked about the majority of positive reviews on goodreads. But I read some of the bad reviews and those readers seem just as enraged as I am, so at least I am not alone.

I just finished reading Lady of the Lake and I am glad it's over. And I will pretend it never happened. There were so many promising plotlines and characters but THIS is how it all comes together? 600 pages of utter nonsense. The rest of the series was really quite good. And now that. Useless character deaths. Plotless plotlines and sudden 180 turns. Lots of ooc moments. The introduction of a shitton of new concepts that were bot foreshadowed nor explained. The characters motivations stopped making sense. Idk. So much bad storytelling all at once. Some parts of the final chapters seem more like I must have imagined them in a fever dream. And I hate how at sone point everything was about rape, pregnancies and incest. Fuck that bad plot. It wasn't even deep or edgy. It was just bad. I forced myself to suspend my disbelief for as long as possible but the last... 200 pages or so were an absolute disaster. And it got worse and worse until the last page.

So I'll just go ahead and dream of a proper ending. One that makes sense. I have to reworke a lot in my mind...

And btw. Now I am actually curious what happened to game!Geralt and how he got to where he is in the first game. His amnesia must be very very sweet.. A blessing. I am jealous. I want to forget this madness, too.
